  • Is this song on any of the Led Zeppelin's video dvds?

  • this band is my alltime favorite, next to AC/DC, ozzy, and black sabbath.

  • awesome video man, proper tribute to the GODS.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!

    LED ZEPP FOR4!!!

  • you realize you said "LED ZEPP FOR4!!! " led zepp for4? dont get it...

don't you mean "LED ZEPP 4EVER?"

  • Mi adrenalina es este tema......gracias LED ZEPPELIN

  • wow, did i just get laid?

  • Led Zeppelin IV. Ecstasy. Same thing right?

  • a truly magical song, references to a battle in lord of the rings. the womans name is Sandy Denny she was an english folk singer

  • Led Zeppelin is one of the best bands of all time this is my list of favorites:

    1. The Beatles

    2. Led Zeppelin

    3. Cream

    4. The Doors, basically all classic rock and even though this is not there most popular song it is still amazing

  • I was raisied on hip hop and blues but as far as rock goes for me, (no disrespect)

    1. The Beatles

    2. Led Zepp

    3. Pink Floyd ( the sid barrett days )

    4. the doors

  • I was raised during this generation as well but to me its not even close...my father enstilled musical theory to me and even though my father was a beatle fanatic he said the true art of music is portrayed through led zeppelin and its not evn close so....

    1)Led ZEPPELIN

    2)The Beatles

    3)Queen

    4)The Doors

    5)and........YES!!!! Yes i said YES!!

  • Actually I love Yes, but every time I say it, I am met with "Yes? Who is Yes!?" The same as when I say I love Jethro Tull, O the look on peoples faces!

  • i don't know why, but i never really liked queen. only a few of their songs.

  • what does this have to do with queen?

  • i was replying to someone elts post.

  • I am glad to hear u both like the doors and led zepplin. But what about The Rolling Stones? The byrds? those are great bands as well. here's mine.

    1. The beatles

    2. The Rolling Stones

    3. Led Zepplin

    4. The Doors

    5. The Bryds

  • ovo je samo za tebe, samo za nas, dragi moj...rano si otisao...ali znam da vidis i cujes....seti se....

  • i love this song.

  • definatley my fave zepplin song!

  • i love it.

  • One of my favorite songs.

  • WOW Man. Orgasmic. so agree with eye9637isis.

  • 4:08 - 4:32 always gives me chills

  • makes everything seem like its not improtant i lose my self in this fuckin song

    all of their songs

  • Goood Times, good times.. reminds me of the times when I was a kid listening to my Dad's records! When music was all that made sense to you and made you feel connected to this world..

  • was? still is and always will be.

  • if there was ever a d&d sing this and kashmir would be it

  • Who is singing the second woice? (I'm not talking about Robert Plant)

  • sandy denny...

  • and Gilbert Gottfried.

  • The only vocalist other than Robert who ever sang on a Led Zep recording. When I was a kid I actually thought it was Bob overdubbed.

  • I think Sandy Dennis or Danny

  • Sandy Denny!!

The greatest female vocalist & songwriter ever to come out of the UK. Possibly the best UK vocalist ever.

Considering you all profess to be such experts on Zep I'm amazed you know so little about their only guest vocalist!

  • This song is for all times !!!

  • I'm really diggin' the mandolin!

    An undeniable classic, this.

  • Awesome song. Thanks for sharing

  • that video was sweet

  • Beautiful song!

  • wow this is one of my faves , thanx 4 post!

  • I love Sandy's vocals - easily my favourite Zep track.

  • love it..

  • earth wouldent be so great without their music. hell, earth isnt so good anyways

  • great song, one of Zeppelin's best!!

  • its such a beutiful song iits a masterpiece but no one really pays attetion to it because zeppeli has so many good soongs its a shme theres so many elements that make the song so good

  • it's probably not as famous as some of their other songs, but you know whenever someone picks up a mandolin who probably plays guitar or something but doesn't play mandolin exclusively, this is usually one of the riffs they know :)

  • Also the Going to California one too right?

  • oh yeah, that's a good one too :)

  • PLANET EARTH - YEAR 4128:

    Mister "E.T". Critics musical

"During the Twentieth Century, Mozart was considered as one of the greatest genius or the greatest genius in the history of human music.

Today in 4128, Led Zeppelin is considered like one of the most fantastic or the most fantastic group of history of humanity.

If you listen to "The Battle of Evermore" you ... you ... you ... Oh excuse me, I can't find any word ... I can't speak ... I think I will become completely crazy!!!"

  • Heart did a great cover of this song.

  • i saw robert plant sing this the other night

  • You can;t beat this song, the lute (correct me if im wrong) at the start is an amazing inovation

  • I'm pretty sure it's a mandolin...in the lute family, but not a lute.

  • Give this song to any other band and it's in their top 5, but Zeppelin did it and noone even pays attention to it. This song is truly a testament to how great this band IS.

  • Just WAS unfortunately. I watched some video about "new" zeppelin. They was terrible.

  • There is no "New" Zeppelin...I don't know what you're talking about.

AND people still refer to this band in the present, not the past, that's how good they are.

  • Yes, they are, in this we agree. But I don't know why do they stand on stage and do same thing, what they did in their youthfull. Plant has lost his voice. I hear that he can sing, but the song didn't remain the same. Pages guitar play is still awsome, but when he played one more that violin-bow "song"...I didn't understand why. Besides This Band needs Bonham. They are 120 years old. They shouldn't have to do this, because they distruct what they have built.

  • On December 10th, Jimmy Page, JPJ and Robert Plant got on stage to honor the man who they entered the music business with in 1968. Jason Bonham got on stage to fulfill a dream and to tribute his father.

The show was professional and noone was struting around on stage with their shirt open. Listen to the Plant in Kashmir from '07; he hasn't completely lost his voice, he's not 19 anymore,I think he sounds better now than in '77.

  • It was a one-off, their not distructing anything but proving everything...something had to be proven after 1985's Live Aid performance!

  • I don't know if it was sent.

  • love it

  • love the vocals in this, trips me up

  • beautiful, Led Zeppelin forever XD

  • u kno, most ppl who like led zeppelin mostly tlk about how great page is, but u also hav 2 remember jones, hes (im my eyes) one of the greatest bassest out there but unfortunetly, hes one of the most unapreciated musians of all time. just throwing that out there

  • I would like your comment better if I didn't have to decipher it.

  • you're right, man. he is the least recognized, and the least appreciated, but the only REAL musician of Led Zeppelin

  • thnks, i lov it wen bassests r appreciated, im a bassest myself so thats probly y

  • Good to hear, man! You go out there, and tell those unbelievers just how important you are!

  • its good 2 find some1 who acctually relizes how immportaint bassest were, and i will!

  • I think without a bass player, the band will loose the rythm when playing and so it messes everything up when playing live..

  • This is one of the greatest works of art ever made, man.

  • the sky is filled with good and bad that mortals will never know ..

  • i love this song so much. its in my top 10(by top 10 i mean the like 10 songs i cant decide on which i like the most cuz they r all so awesome!) led zeppelin is so damn awesome!

  • this and kashmir are my favorite songs by zeppelin

  • Mine too.

  • Hauntingly beautiful......

  • I love the mandolin in this song. Thanks for posting.

  • they frekin rocked the 70's

  • Killer!

  • viewtiful

  • this song sounds kinda...mistical...and really, really good.

  • So Chill and Laxed Bro. Good Dro Song.

  • I love Led Zepplin and its hard to pick a favourite song but I'm leaning towards this one

  • awesomely awesome song true classic

  • great job!

  • beautifull song!

  • Wonderful vidéo !

  • Excellent video, excellent song. Ruined slightly by the last slide ;-)

  • i agree

  • hahahhahahahahaha

    thats a good point...

  • most majestic song of all time....

  • Anybody remember the female vocalist?Sandy Denny.R.I.P. Thirty years ago today.

  • I remember seeing Sandy Denny in the late 60's with Fairport Convention, their best ever vocalist, what a tragic loss .

  • Sandy Denny is one of my favourite artists, and Robert Plant is quoted as saying of her "My favourite out of all the British girls that ever were".

She was also a 'drinking buddy' of John Bonham {and Keith Moon}.

  • one and only

  • good ass song yoo

  • just awesome, no time passages to span, this is beautiful music. nothing else matters.

  • great coment roddog69, needed to be said a long time ago, this tune, has meaning beyond the simple mind, no offence simple folk *waves without a care* see ya in 2012 :D

  • yes plant was into LOTR because in ramble on he talks about mordor and stuff

  • lol.

yes, base what he wrote as what he was "in" to.

LOTR was a very popular series back when their music was popular. doesn't neccesarily mean he was in love with the shit

  • This is a seasoned, vintage rock CHOOOOON!!!

Pay your respects. Kiss my mandolin.

  • man this song is kinda creepy but its cool.

  • zeppelin was and still is the greatest rock group in the world!!!!

  • the best part of zeppelin is when they whip out the mandolin's and banjos

  • i love zeppelin, u all on some crazy shit i dont know what they on with this, yet on others im right on key

  • give me one example?

  • i was well wrong thank you for telling me this its a very eye opening thin

    ty m8

  • im sorry m8 take a look at the credits most of the stuff was wrote by page it was him who read the fantasy etc i would love to be proved wrong but im a fraid im not

  • "Thank you" was the first song Page decided that Plant would handle writing the majority of the lyrics for the band's songs. I've even read somewhere that Plant even named one of his dogs "Strider" (Aragorn) and he was known to shout that name during "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp".

  • Plant was also into The Lord Of The Ring and wrote the lyrics of almost all the songs.

  • One of Led Zeppelin's best. Beautiful and haunting track.

  • page was more into lord of the rings than plant

he wrote most of this stuff remember

also paid them session muscian wages for a while tooo lol

    page ha

  • nope. i'm pretty sure Plant wrote most of the lyrics for Led Zeppelin's songs. Page was into the occult and Aleister Crowley. Plant was into Welsh mythology and Tolkien.

  • ...Arguing on the internet is always a battle of who can show off more knowledge.

    It's sad.

  • More a show of egos and a miss of the experience.

  • sad thing is half the people who get involved in the arguing are complete dumbfucks

  • GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME
