  • Ive fought with a badly sprained thumb, its not fun during the fight and its a lot worse the next day. You don't want to "defang" your own "snake".

  • I do too.But realize that in street fights losing might mean:

    - not being able to protect loved ones.(more cowardice)

    - ending in hospital with a face no on one will recognize.etc.etc.

    See the useful side instead:

    -knowing this kind of stuff helps me thinking ahead,not exposing myself, knowing how to react in case shit happens etc.

    -they balance out "the match", there is no referee on the streets so if the opponent is fighting dirty you should know how,when&where to retaliate, or else you lose.

  • i like your ideas, I think on the same lines... but, I don't like the throat grab, worried about breaking my own thumb if/when he flinches forward or whatever. If the opponent isnt expecting me to attack and I strike first, that may work.

  • @1ToNJaB use it as a follow up to the finger jab 1-2 on the finger jab aim your fingers at a 45 degree angle so they dont break on his forehead if you miss the eyes if you miss with the finger jab his head will snap back exposing his throat for you. then.....attack
