If I am not mistaken this is the first juganbandi in raag Kalavati between NoorJehan & Asad Amanat Khan sahib.While listening to this fabulous melody you would observe(if you can distinguish the power of classical touch) with a naked eye that this sort of calibre in classical way of singing belongs to Our beloved Late Madam Noor Jehan.Tell me who else could sing? Who can set such examples?Absolutely no one can. Her thoat vibrations and the twist in a fraction of a seconds is immortal.(12-01-11)

Famous duet between Ustad Amant Ali Khan and Madame Noor Jehan. This is a great gift that the great Ustad was able to change his tone per the mood of the song, so it can be confusing. Then again, it is a sign of a true master than he can change his voice per the mood of the song. Bass, Treble, he can produced all kinds of tones.

excellent jugalbandi by two of the geatest voices of pakistan Noor Jehan and amanat ali khan. what a great legacy they have left us with and what have we done to our music today. it's a shame. and no one from the younger generation knows about this. they are listening to the worst Pakistani music. long live great music maestros like Noor Jehan and Amanat Ali Khan.

Well, I can't dispute your personal information. A long time ago, I had a long-play record with this song along with other Ustad Amanat Ali and Fateh Ali songs, and it listed this song as being sung by Fatih Ali and Noor Jehan. I stand corrected.

This is no doubt one of the all time great songs. However, if you did some serious research you will find that the male singer is not Ustad Amanat Ali, but Ustad Fateh Ali, Ustad Amanat Ali's younger brother. Incidently, he is also the singer in "Wadah's" title song "Nain say Nain Melay Rakhnayko" which he co-sang with the great Zahida Parveen.

gilani ji, its not ustad fateh ali but ustad amanat ali. if someone has told you (or you might have read it somewhere) it not right. its, for sure, is ustad amanat ali. ustad nazim and ustad amanat (and ustad tateh ali) been together for years and we got family relations with his(ustad nazim, pride of performance) family as they are our next door in lahore. so i know...

@gilaniguy I don't know what kind of research you did but how can you not distinguish the difference between Ustad Amanat Ali Khan's voice to Ustad Fateh Ali khan. There is no doubt that this is Ustad Amanat Ali khan's voice. Raga is kalavati and taal is drut teental.

@gilaniguy , this song is sung by ustad amanat ali khan and noor jahan, song of wadah is sung by ustad fateh ali khan and zahida parwen, I can say this because i have a close contact with ustad fateh ali khan, and also had with late ustad nazim ali khan (sarangi player) and late ustad shaukat hussain khan ( tabla player)
