- Haha! Kids using computers these days think they're so smart but in actuality are dummy doos...It runs deep. All this does is set the DNS for OpenDNS. Which is fine, but it has nothing to do with your Wifi signal. It could increase the DNS look-up, but chances are your local ISP's DNS server is just as good if not faster. Want to increase connection speeds, turn off all the network services you don't use in Network Connections. More than likely would be all of them except Internet Protocol.
@NFSCalex @ - When I was a kid first using computers, we didn't have modems, broadband or even a viable Internet to connect with...having over a megabyte of RAM was a big deal and computers were expensive as hell. Thus...it just befuddles me when kids today post videos like these spewing off jargon and then ultimately not realizing or knowing what is being said or done. Especially, when all you have to do is look it up. The moral of the story - Never try to shortcut something that can't.
@XTAZIP - The very first system I ever owned had only 640K of RAM. That's K as in Kilobyte not M as in Mega. It was connected to 10 inch Zenith Black and White TV set and an Oki-Data dot matrix printer. There was no HD storage, only cassette tape. The year was 1979-80.
What is this crap?? All he's doing is having you set your DNS servers to the OpenDNS servers. Not only does that do nothing for your Wi-Fi connection, but now when you type in a bad address you'll get advertisements results from OpenDNS (which is part of their Terms of Service, which you've now unknowingly agreed to!) Candidate for worse tech video ever.
