I thought I would agree with you... but I don't. Unless the ties are made out of hemp, and made in fair trade factrories made locally, for the change has to be embodied in the image. We can not be the same image with a different message, the transformational nature of the journey is so complete - these people are out front of us, asking us to hurry towards them not way off to the side.

Gladly Ill defend a tree from the loggers and go to jail. Something with the Deep Ecology rituals doesnt work tho.. and I must have participated in a dozen at least...I still drive rather than take the bus....If it really means inconvenience or becomeing less personally efficient I wont make the ethical choice and I think most other people are like me..and thats a problem. Something stronger than love of nature is needed to combat self interest.
