This song"THANK GOD I'M FREE" Written by Brother James McFall of Philidelphia, Ms He was a Pentecostal Preacher & gospel writer. Bro. McFall sold this song to Bro.Joel Hemphill of the SINGING HEMPILLS who made the song a million seller.Bro.Hemphill returned the rights to the song to Bro. McFall. Bro. McFall passed away two years ago.It has been sang millions of times by every denomination. He was a Godly inspired man.Reverend Louis Bernhardt*Houston, Texas. God bless all that hear this song.
I love this song. It has always held a great and wonderful meaning to me. I use to sing this song a lot. Beautiful. I thank God for given this poor blind man his sight, and setting me free from a dark prison of sin. HaHo !
There's so much soul and power in this music. To us europeans, rationalistic sceptics that we are, we may dismiss it as too emotional. But we still listen to it, at least I do. Maybe because it's such a contrast to our protestantism here in Northern Europe...
Hoover, you are the best,,,you have the best videos that I have ever seen here on youtube...this song is so inspirational...I feel myself going back His grace...Thank you so much...
JD has always been on of my all time favorites. This song means a lot to me as well. When I was 4 years old I sat on a piano bench beside my father and we sang this song together.
@elgaesj Sooo sweet...I'll always treasure the memories that I had with my dad. And all the AMAZING gospel singers & singings that I've been so blessed to see. JD has always been one of my favorites also, Thanks for posting all these AMAZING videos :)
Hey, that's one of the greatest piano players of all time. Known more in the studio than on stage. His name is Jerry Kelso. He has been with the Dove Brothers for several years now.
What a voice! what a performer. I never tire listening to "Rick Strickland" performing this song with the "Stamps" what a team, their voices blend in so well. Thank you Hoover for posting.
Rick Strickland absolutely rocks! I have one question. Does he have Bell's Palsy? He seems to only sing out of one side of his mouth....that's ok, the half of his mouth that he uses is plenty. Hoover if you have Rick singing "I know a man who can" will you post?
thank you lord for my parents who taught me about you and jesus.....and i believe and was raised in church......someday i will meet my mom and dad and loved ones in heaven someday.......sanangel

Keep singing those old favorite songs and hymns its those that have witnessed and spread the word and Love of Jesus Christ. May we keep the music alive and in our hearts and share with others.
such a great song and so true.....when we fail here on earth we have the lord to pray to and talk with and know we are his child and he is there for us......and it means so much to me to know my precious lord.....i have hope where i do not think this world holds any promise if we live with people of the world......god does open blind eyes......sanangel
how true this song is and we do not realize how low we can go before we turn back and realize we are going on the wrong road.....i thank god for my mom and my dad and all the christians that taught me the word as a child and i have those memories......sanangel

Thank God I am free, free, free
From this world of sin.
I've been washed in the blood of Jesus,
Ive been born again.
Hallelujah, Im saved, saved, saved
By His wonderful grace.
Im so glad that I found out
He could bring me out
And show me the way.

Thank God we are saved and free. What a wonderful rendition. I must replay this 20 times a day.
Thank God for Bill Gaither having the foresight to gather all these greats as many times as he could.
I dearly miss JD Sumner, The Goodmans, all the greats that left thier houses of clay.
It is truly a blessing to be able to access so many of their historical performances.
