  • James McFall wrote this. It's a wonderful song and is done well by these guys!

  • There's so much soul and power in this music. To us europeans, rationalistic sceptics that we are, we may dismiss it as too emotional. But we still listen to it, at least I do. Maybe because it's such a contrast to our protestantism here in Northern Europe...

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! :) Happy to say our church still sings these good ol musical blessings!!!!

  • this is wonderful- who's playing piano?

  • Hey, that's one of the greatest piano players of all time. Known more in the studio than on stage. His name is Jerry Kelso. He has been with the Dove Brothers for several years now.

  • Thank God we are saved and free. What a wonderful rendition. I must replay this 20 times a day.

Thank God for Bill Gaither having the foresight to gather all these greats as many times as he could.

I dearly miss JD Sumner, The Goodmans, all the greats that left thier houses of clay.

It is truly a blessing to be able to access so many of their historical performances.

  • First time I heard the stamps was at the Open Bible church 1967 Burlington ,Iowa love them!!

  • What a voice! what a performer. I never tire listening to "Rick Strickland" performing this song with the "Stamps" what a team, their voices blend in so well. Thank you Hoover for posting.

  • This number absolutely thrills me. I hope it will stay there for a long long time.

  • them stamps and Donny Sumner sang with Elvis. Elvis would sing all night long with them up in his room at the Hilton in Vegas.

  • I did not know that Anthony Burger played bass guitar. What a great man he was here on Earth!

  • I didn't either, awesome!

  • The Stamps were awesome.

  • What a message. ThANK GOD WE ARE FREE!!!

  • Rick Strickland absolutely rocks! I have one question. Does he have Bell's Palsy? He seems to only sing out of one side of his mouth....that's ok, the half of his mouth that he uses is plenty. Hoover if you have Rick singing "I know a man who can" will you post?

  • I know Rick personally, there is nothing wrong with him. He is still singing as a soloist and also with the American Quartet. He's awesome!!!!

  • thank you lord for my parents who taught me about you and jesus.....and i believe and was raised in church......someday i will meet my mom and dad and loved ones in heaven someday.......sanangel

  • Who is the older guy standing next to Jd, is he an original member of the Stamps?

  • That is Ed Hill. He sang with the Stamps probably, in the mid 70's, he also travelled with the Singing Americans in the mid 80's, The Statesmen in the late 70's & Early 80's prior to joining the Singing Americans. Now he is reforming the Prophets Quartet along with Mike Allen, (Former Stamps tenor) Bill Baize, & Paul Jackson. Incidentally, the first PQ was formed in the late 50's/60's. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks for the info. Just trying to get to know who everyone is lol.

  • Ed Hill is also one of the most respected baritones of SG history.

  • Keep singing those old favorite songs and hymns its those that have witnessed and spread the word and Love of Jesus Christ. May we keep the music alive and in our hearts and share with others.
