I loved "Tango in the Night" and the single "Little Lies"...I bought a LP with a very cool dance mix of "Little Lies" The single was available on the 12-inch format, featuring an extended dance version, a dub version, and the single's B-side, "Ricky", a non-album track penned by Christine McVie. I turned many fellow Mac fans back in the day by putting this on the turntable and they had never heard the unknown song...Good to see it posted for Mac fans to now enjoy my "Hidden Gem".
This hypnotic song has been my favorite Fleetwood Mac song since I wore out a cassette single of "little Lies" listening to it. The instrumental part just knocks me out!! Why was it never on an album??!!
Probably my favorite Christine song! I love it. Wish it had made it onto Tango in the Night instead of "Mystified"...could have fit well on Tusk, too.
I never heard Christine sing like this before, but I love it. I agree it sounds more like Lindsey, but I will take your word that it is Christine. Love it none the less. Great song and thanks again for posting the B sides. :)
I really like this song. Christine was on fire in the 1970s/80s. Ricky should have made TITN as it is (IMO) better than Lindsey's sub-par You & I Pt. 2. Again, Lindsey had too many songs, although they are superior to his Mirage tracks. I LOVE the song Tango in the Night, as well as Caroline & Family Man. Chris ruled with some of her best work - Little Lies, Everywhere, Mystified, Isn't It Midnight. Stevie was at a low point. Seven Wonders was OK. Stevie was barely present on TITN. That sucked!
This is my absolute favorite FM song.. I had to get another 45 because I wore the original one out after a couple of months... Thanks for uploading it.
I am sorry to say it has not been released on a CD or compilation, but hopefully Mirage, Tango In The Night, and Behind The Mask will both be remastered soon.
A new Remastered & Expanded version of Mirage is due for release in mid-2011 by Rhino/Warner Music Group. CD 1 will be the original album remastered and CD 2 will feature bonus material taken from the Mirage era, such as B-sides and outtakes. A track listing for this release has not yet been announced.[citation
I know, this song is strange because at first you think it's either Lindsey or Christine singing, but it's both of them. They sort of blend... great song!
I'm not quite sure why, but I must say I often confuse Lindsey and Christine! It might have something to do with having once misread Monday Morning as credited to Christine a few years ago (I'm not sure how I did that), and not finding out that it was actually Lindsey until very recently...
This is a very interesting outtake from the Tango In The Night sessions. It's about time Warner/Rhino re-issued Tango In The Night with these tracks as bonus tracks. They did it with Rumours and Tusk but for some reason missed Mirage, Tango In The Night and Behind The Mask out. Come on Warner/Rhino pull your finger out!
This song should have made the album. "You and I Part 2" is my least favorite song on Tango so I would have been happy with a "Rickey" replacement. I love Christine's voice on this song.

I think it"s really a very good mix of both Christine AND Lindsey, there might even be some trading of parts

this song is sooo good it should have been on TITN twice!!!!! not a b-side!!!!!!!!!!
ToniHedley 1 year ago
There shouldve been another half of 'tango in the night' called: 'tango in the day' which featured all the b sides, including;
down endless street, book of miracles, you and i part 1, ricky etc.

Who is Ricky anyway and why is Lindsey singing to him so seductively? :)

Christine McVie is singing.

It's Christine singing. I imagine it's an affectionate tease to Richard Dashut.
