There's no disputing the fact that civilians have died as a result of mistakes or collateral damage during military operations. Dreaded as it is; it happens. I wasn't drawing comparisons. i was saying that calling them cowards for not fighting on "fair" terms is hypocritical in a war. Days of armies going head-to-head are from colonial days. It's modern warfare with different tactics. not cowardice.

I agree with you...Whoa... I don't call them cowards, I'm certain it takes a fair amount of courage to light 5lbs of c4 off on yourself. And all is fair in War as far as I'm concerned. My only argument is the fact that instead of fighting or rather attacking combatants these "martyrs" target civilians on many of their attacks. Guerrilla tactics have become the norm. I just wish it'd been considered more thoroughly before we committed to the war to begin with.

There's no disputing the fact that civilians have died as a result of mistakes or collateral damage during military operations. Dreaded as it is; it happens. Most of the civillian deaths can and are attributed to the so-called freedom fighters that run truckloads of explosives into markets filled with civillians. At least when we kill innocents it is a mistake. To the insurgents civillians are the target.
