A carbon based life form, that evolved into a holow skull with forward facing eye sockets, probabbly bi-pedal, human-style teeth, smilar jaw, and Earth-style DNA, amongst other similarities. The chances of life on another planet I think are almost certain. The chances of it being so fundamentally similar, not so much.

those fibres don't at all look woven into the bone, there are too few of them. They look manually added. This smells like a high tech lynch of true science. The fact that there is a strong presupposition as to what this is before it is confirmed leads me to suspect the credibility of the methods and motives of this inquiry.

What they are doing is taking something they want to be true and trying to find evidence to support it, much like intelligent design does. However, in the words of Carl Sagan, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and these attributes they're discovering, albeit interesting, don't qualify as such. Ockham's razor says the simplest answer is usually the right one. Parsimony, essentially. A medical problem that is already known is just that.

I honestly can't wait to hear the final say on this subject. Should the genome come back positive as non-hominid, we're going to be able to see a multitude of social thought theories and conspiracy chain-reactions suddenly come to the fore-front: Roswell, Gov't-Alien relationships, cover ups, evolution itself, question of religion, and even stranger--the strong possibility that trans-solar travel may be possible. @TheZetaReticulan Sorry to necro an old post. I think that most scientist refuse it for a very simple reason. Its too similar to things that evolved on Earth to be alien. A carbon based life form, that evolved into a holow skull with forward facing eye sockets, probabbly bi-pedal, human-style teeth, smilar jaw, and Earth-style DNA, amongst other similarities. The chances of life on another planet I think are almost certain. The chances of it being so fundamentally similar, not so much.
