  • Could someone explain to me what the 6bn dollars went on? We already know two ways of converting energy into matter, both of which are extremely inefficient: Accelerating particles past the speed of light is 1 - experiments at the LHC have determined that once you've got protons to 99.9999% of the speed of light, they stop growing in speed but start gaining mass instead. A lot of energy is lost in the process tho. 2nd is black holes, apparently un-tappable sources.

  • Somebody can explain to me, why some scientists say that our galaxy have a 13-14 bi. years old, but others scientists says that our universe have the same age... If the universe is a big space where have a lot of galaxies?

    So, if our galaxy have 14bi yo. what the real age of our universe if the universe is bigger than galaxy? *--*

  • Most scientists believe that the universe is around 13.7 bn years old. They also believe that the Milky Way is around 13.2 bn years old. Seems like most galaxies were born 'shortly' after the Big Bang. Mind you, 500 million years isn't actually THAT short a time, but you can safely say that the Milky Way is one of the oldest galaxies in the universe.

    I personally am a bit perplexed by this question tho, There must've been some srs time dilation going on, how can we rly say 14bn yrs..

    No, we know for a fact that the formula e=mc2 checks out. If anything, those particular neutrinos at the LHC traveled back in time. It's a very slim 'if anything' though it's much more likely that the experiment was compromised.

  • @Daymjo No we dont that is completely false. General relativity has been proven false by many experiements but its still the best theory to date. Its still jsut a theory and also. The law of e=mc2 does not apply to the sub atomic level meaning that overall it cannot be true. None of the formulas we ahve to day will be correct until we can have a formule for consciousness because in the end matter is just perceived by our brain, its really just frequencies of vibrating energy, not matter

  • @TheTheKRIT For every experiment that has disproven general relativity at least 10 have confirmed it. ur right, the laws of physics break down in extreme conditions, that's hardly argument against them though, they only work in restricted conditions. Its like saying 'quantum physics doesnt work in any level above the sub atomic one so its false'. Formula for consciousness sounds sci-fi.. and no its not, matter is a physical manifestation of energy its not a perception or an interpretation.

You are seeing the image in the back of your brain meaning if it was really out there you wouldn't need to create the image in your brain. You know how i know matter does not truly exist? Physics does take into consideration the brain it just looks into what the brain is creating. Science is not going to find the keys to the universe there going to find the laws of our reality.

  • Think of matter as a manifestation of energy. Energy itself is intangible, you cannot see or feel it. You could argue temperature is energy, well you could be right but what u feel as temperature is just atomic vibration. Everything, every force, every piece of matter is just a manifestation of energy, and Energy is intangible. Therefore, the only way energy can exist is through manifestation such as light, matter, heat, etc.

But the first theoretical useful applications of electricity appeared only in 19-th century! It takes alot of energy to hold together a large atomic nucleus. Also, the energy released is heat, not subatomic particles, as subatomic particles are still matter.

  • @Positronicity stick to subjects you understand, subatomic particles are not matter, and when an atom is no longer an atom, it is not matter anymore. and i didn't say the energy released was subatomic particles, i said they're a bi-product of the event. the energy released is the energy stored from the strong nuclear force which binds the atoms. when you unbind the atoms with fission the atoms smash open releasing the particles.

Protons and neutrons are subatomic particles and they are matter as well. These nucleons are composed of quarks, which are also matter. The particles released from fission include neutrinos, neutrons, which can decay into protons, electrons, and electron antineutrinos. Subatomic particles have mass, and therefore ARE matter.

Then look at the slew of baryons, mesons, and other composite particles of various combinations of quarks. Normal matter is made up of up quarks, down quarks, electrons, and the electron neutrino. Other particles include the charm, strange, top, and bottom quarks, muons, tau particles, mu neutrinos, tau neutrinos, W+, W-, Z bosons, and the gluon.

We all know it needs an incredible amount of energy just to produce one.     Any lightsource emitted at any point in time can be perceptible today, unless ofcourse the lightwaves haven't been given enough time to reach earth. Essentialy,anytime you look to the cosmos you're actualy looking back in time becuase light takes time to travel, so you're seeing it as it was when many years ago.

For example, the MER-A exploration Rover in Mars takes a few hours to move after the signal from Earth launch, this is due of the effect of the vastness of space, when they say look back in past, they mean the light and sound (more like noise) that coming from stars closer to the "Breaking point" or Big Bang

    Pair production is the reverse (energy in the form of a gamma ray spontaneously forms into a particle and its antiparticle)

The entire universe is made of 3 elements time, space and matter(energy), as in the first line in the bible. In the beginning, God made the heavens and earth. beginning = time , heavens = space, earth = matter. And yes God exists, if only you knew, the brain is sensor to God, and can be so easily reached.

This equation says that mass at a certain state is equal to energy, so energy is equal to mass at a certain state. You would just need to find a way of concentrating the energy back into mass and then remove the c^2 part of it. I don't know the technical details, but in layman's terms what I've said makes sense. If energy can be turned into mass, then mass can be turn into energy.

I am sure you are familiar with the bailouts, and the US has been spending over 600 billion annually on the military budget alone in the last few years. Over five times the amount China spends. Even if the cost was 60 billion, it was approved 14 years ago. I am sure you would be in favor of cutting less than 1% of one nation's defense budget for 14 short years to fund an experiment like this.

  • I first hypothesized about this back in 2002, m=E/c² or energy transforms into matter at rest. The only way for energy to rest is to slow to a stop relative to the movement of the source, or where it originated. Seeing that electrons are affected by magnetic fields then the logical place to stop the electron is 90° to a magnetic field. That happens to be located right where all matter is found around young suns and radioactive planets like Saturn, Jupiter & Uranus. It explains why new rings..
