I have a 5 month old doberman puppy and a 4 year old miniature dachshund. Even though the Doberman is still a puppy, he's much more gentle than our dachshund. He only nudges her. Our dachshund is the one that bites and chases children. Ha ha

Long ago I had a German Sheppard (one of those really big and furry) called Ivan, who used to play with one of my little dogs, Pupy. Pupy was so little that her head could get inside Ivan's mouth. In fact, she used to put her entire head inside Ivan's mouth :-). Never, never happend anything bad. They loved to play tyhis way, and I can say that they love each other very much. Gosh, I really missed them...

i have a 5 month old dobe, he is a red tan and his coat looks very dry. he drinks lots of water and in every meal i give him a tea spoon of olive oil so his skin is not dry, is there a reason why his coat would look so dry?

I think your dogs are adorable. Dobermans are my favorite large breed and I love well behaved Chihuahuas. I can only have small dogs like Chihuahuas right now. We like to take our dogs with us when we travel. It's harder to travel with a large dog. If we only had one large dog, then maybe it wouldn't be so difficult, but we like having a few dogs.
