Master P had a very good point . Rappers are kept in a space where we panic to sell records. That has been the true demonization of the culture. Hip-hop latched on to money as its lifeblood, whereas those forms of true hip-hop expression don't really generate money like MCing does. And Gangsta Rapping with a message doesn't generate the same money that Glorifying Gangsta Rap does. See the trend? It'll only get worse as long as money is the determining factor.
