@92796Apollo I know! The bass was amazing on My own prison and Human Clay. What happened? When Alter Bridge formed, I was excited to hear some sick bass lines, but I was let down. Brian is one of my favorite bass players, but he has just been playing whole notes ever since he restarted with Alter Bridge and Creed.

I remember hearing them live recently and wondering what was wrong with Stapp's voice and wondering why he doesn't sound like the recordings of Full Circle. I'm so tired of hearing about ALTERBRIDGE comparison's, I'm 47 years OLD, I have allowed myself to grow with ROCK Music and liking it all. . . I've seen legendary Rock bands like Led Zeppelin, David Cloverdale to Great White does a great Job with voice-like sounds that make ZEP music go on. . . . Scott Weiland with Slash is another COMBO for those GUNs N Roses fans.

Man Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips really have grown and improved as musicians since the last Creed cd. Alter Bridge has been good for them. he's not the same as before..he's been through a lot..relentless tours,alcohol abuse, etc..I was surprised the first time I heard him from the AOL Sessions. he doesn't have that bad ass/gritty/growly voice anymore,but he can still rock..I'm just glad they're back. My favorite band of all time.

Awesome! I went to the show in Pittsburgh because I had a free ticket and I love Alter Bridge. I figured, why not go see Mark, Scott, and Brian? I must admit, Stapp's stage presence was incredible. Band sounded better than I could have expected. Light show was tremendous. Just an awesome night. I'm ashamed to admit...I had freakin goosebumps!

Nah he's in tune -- the guitars are tuned pretty far down at least a step, maybe a step and a half... We're just used to hearing the song a step higher.

But its pretty common for bands to detune a step or so, the singers voice can only take so much day after day of pushing that hard. It helps the voice last.
