  • Thank you again. No, the esthetics of the stove is not important, although i do find this stove very homey, and attractive. Your point is right on about this compared to the others at the same price range, this does so much more.I want to ask you a bunch of questions, about your venture, is their anywhere i could leave you an email? If not thats cool, i understand.I saw your other video about the solar power, and like you, although i want to be off grid, i still want to watch my dvds, and use my comp!

  • I Have been planning a move from the city to build an off grid cabin...your two videos are very simple, but quite inspiring. I was looking at smaller wood burning stoves, i would not have known about this one had it not been for your vid's, thanks so much. This is around the same price as the smaller ones, AND the cooking space; oven, top..is huge..what a great stove, and as you said it heats your whole cabin..? Thanks again, I'm becoming more determined to make this happen.

    Peace

We do know others who are using this same model, I don't think you will regret it. It's not pretty with a glass door and such, but efficiency is what we needed as well as being practical enough to cook on. The warming oven option, is well worth it also. Good luck with your off grid ventures. We have not looked back!

  • do you have an address for purchase.

Just google "bakers choice wood stove" available in Canada, manufactured by the Amish. Dealers are located around the country with varying prices. Good Luck. Thanks for commenting.

  • It does not have a built in water tank, so if we put 5 pots on the stove, each holding 3 gal, than we have 15 gals of hot water. Enough to do laundry or take a bath. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • How much hot water can you heat ?

  • That is a beautiful finish on the cook stove (the light blue colour). I confess to preferring firebox doors with glass plates so you can monitor the fire without having to open them, but nevertheless, this is a very appealing unit. Thanks for sharing.

  • @Coaljet Guess the video changed the colour slightly, it's black, sort of a coal black. The firebox is huge. We have another stove out in the shop with glass door, but not for cooking. It's called an Aurora. Thanks for commenting.

  • This is a wood heat stove that also bakes and cooks. It will heat up to 2200 sq feet. The firebox is quite large.

  • So no need for a wood heat stove in a small cabin?

  • @goingoffgridblog That is a wood heat unit and a cooking unit all in one.
