Hey man thanks so much i made the water flow into the basement of my house then i made a lever connected to 2 sticky pistons a redstone torch and 4 music blocks with tons of delayers and redstone when you hit the lever it blocks the water and pops a stair out of a 1 block deep collection hole thena torch lights up saying that its safe and then 4 music blocks that play a cool tune to also say that its safe. now im making a switch that will block the two block high gap so no monsters can get it.
