This is just some stuff about color if it helps anyone or not.
To make green stand out more through contrast, add it's complement, red, as a dominant background. Make the background red darker for a lighter green, and make the red lighter for darker green.
Using color subtraction, making green more of a blue-green, you can add a yellow background. To make it more of a yellow-green, you add a blue background.

@GymnastGirl220 Quite the opposite actually! Pinks are definitely the way to go for green eyes. And if you're looking for something more simple, than a medium shade pink with black eyeliner is just as good. I always get compliments on my eyes when I wear pink or blueish-purple eyeshadow. You should try it! It's always fun to try something different! ;)

@BrittyB514 look at the color of ur lip like from the inside or pinch ur cheek while u have no make up on...thats ur natural blush..but other colors may work for u as well...just try it out with the tester in shop :) this always works with me
I know this is a later comment, but I just wanted to say thank you for making this tutorial and the one for blue eyes because my eyes are totally tempermental and literally change color through the day. They start green, then go blue, then go back green and both the tutorials are really helpful. @juicyglitter28 and @candykid198 I find that deep purples and browns can really bring out the intensity of green eyes. I strongly advise from using warm colors like orange or red. Try using earthy tones instead like a dark mossy green or rich plum. Hope this helped!

Just my opinion but I thought the red bean pie ontop of the pink oleander took away from the pop of the eyes and somewhat darkened them too much. It gave it like a depressed look in my opinion. I would of put it on the outter corner of the lid n I would of used a minted liner instead of the exotic green. I would of gone with a nude lip n not a hot pink lip with the blush n everything there was just too much pink going on for me.
My eyes r green but they r wayyy brighter than hers and I have lighter hair then her but I have big eyes anyhow I only wear mascara and if u have green eyes just wear a black shirt and no makeup well besides lips and cheeks and ur green eyes will pop but u don't have to go overboard like she did

i think purple works muchhh better than pink - if you're quite pale like me the pink can just make it look like you have sore eyes!

@BrittyB514 look at the color of ur lip like from the inside or pinch ur cheek while u have no make up on...thats ur natural blush..but other colors may work for u as well...just try it out with the tester in shop :) this always works with me

no offense, but i've read and heard multiple times from different people that using the eye color you have for eye shadow only fades your eye color.

I know this is a later comment, but I just wanted to say thank you for making this tutorial and the one for blue eyes because my eyes are totally tempermental and literally change color through the day. They start green, then go blue, then go back green and both the tutorials are really helpful. And what kind of camera do you have? i'm gonna start some tutorials soon hopefully and I want to get a camera. If you can tell me that will be great. :)

I'm pretty sure you should be doing makeup for the stars :) Thanks for all the wicked awesome tips, I've got blue/green eyes that have a little bit of gold in them, so I find that the dark greens mixed with gold shadows go well for me :) Thanks bunches!

@juicyglitter28 and @candykid198 I find that deep purples and browns can really bring out the intensity of green eyes. I strongly advise from using warm colors like orange or red. Try using earthy tones instead like a dark mossy green or rich plum. Hope this helped!

Ya know what I don't get? When guys says they like the "natural" look, or when girls don't look like they're wearing a lot of makeup.
Unless the girl pretty good skin to start with, guys have NO IDEA how much makeup most girls need to use to make it look "natural". And besides, since when do we need your permission to look a certain way? If someone wants to wear really striking make up then let them! What business is it of yours?

WHOA, calm down. When guys say that, they aren't telling you to go and change their look. They're just telling you that you look better when you accent your natural features. No duh you're skin won't look perfect from the start, but what looks more natural to you? Bright red lipstick and pink/green eyeshadow, or nude lips and brown eye shadow? They're just giving their opinion like a girl friend would give hers to her BFF. It's nothing to be taken seriously. Chill out.

Yeah, it's much prettier! I think colorful makeup is pretty too, but I think natural makeup is prettier because it's not so obvious. Well, I mean it's obvious that you're wearing makeup, but you don't look like an 80s Barbie doll or circus clown.

@vampanyanka666 thats only some guys though, I can wear absolutely zero makeup with my boyfriend because I already have decently clear skin, and he even says I look cuter with no makeup, but he also thinks its awesome when im wearing bright colourful eyeshadows because they look cool. if a guy loves you unconditionally, he wont care if you're wearing makeup or not.

" It's a contradiction and a lie that didn't have to do with anything that one of us stated. I was stating to you wether it's contacts or not, which everyone knows they are. Green eyes can have brown in them, my grandmothers and mothers both have brown around the middle of their eyes. I mean if you have enough time to point out someone has contacts, what a life. ^^;

Just my opinion but I thought the red bean pie ontop of the pink oleander took away from the pop of the eyes and somewhat darkened them too much. It gave it like a depressed look in my opinion. I would of put it on the outter corner of the lid n I would of used a minted liner instead of the exotic green. I would of gone with a nude lip n not a hot pink lip with the blush n everything there was just too much pink going on for me.

My eyes r green but they r wayyy brighter than hers and I have lighter hair then her but I have big eyes anyhow I only wear mascara and if u have green eyes just wear a black shirt and no makeup well besides lips and cheeks and ur green eyes will pop but u don't have to go overboard like she did

I love makeup, not because i feel very very ugly without it, but i like to express myself with different colors, different looks and to bring out the best parts about me and look as good as i can :D
And boys can think you wear almost no makeup, even if you use primer, foundation, concealer, lipstick, blush, beige/brown eyeshadows, brown mascara, eye liner

Actually, green eyes want shades of reds to compliment the green color (remember your color wheels?).
So coppers, pinks, purples are complimentary to green.
I have green eyes. Greys and blacks make them look more gold/hazel (depending on lighting and whatnot).
Browns are neutral and they compliment everyone, except for brown eyes.
Brown eyes can wear any color that l's successful with skintone.
Also, the eye makeup is what everyone watched this for and it's not heavy at all.
