Thank you very much for this video. It was extremely well presented. It's indeed a very scary and sad situation for all the millions of people in Japan (and perhaps beyond).
Very informative video. As you said the higher levels are due to the wind occasionally shifting.. In my opinion, there is no "safe" level of exposure. It is the internal radiation when inhaled that is dangerous especially with the radiation from the MOX fuel in reactor 3 which has plutonium in it.. A report I listened to said that 1 molecule if inhaled is fatal. If it were me in Fukushima City, I would be moving. I hope people there see this and now can make a educated choice to stay or not.
This info is of the misleading type. Using trustworthy info from the Jap Government as a base and afterward stating institutions are lying. He states there is no well known relation between these dosages and mortality. So red color means death and blue is life. But there are norms in this. 3x background radiation for a certain time ,( radiation disappears by flushing out and half life). when was this map taken? Continuous 2x back.gr rad takes 30 hrs of your life expectancy age (linear mod.)
@renevers It is true that the government has been misleading, but even if the government downplayed the information and softened the numbers the map is still extremely disconcerting isn't it? If the government's own downplayed data makes the situation look THIS bad, I think that is a clear sign of the true situation. Also, I mention that there is no good clear data on long term exposure to moderate radiation which is true. I don't mention mortality, so please listen more closely.
You deserve a medal for what you are doing and that is reporting detailed information on what is really happening in Japan. The msm has all but forgotten Fukushima and you my friend make them all look like ignorant cowards.
Do you have a comparision map after the two nukes where drop on japan. Was that radiation worse. This is not my skill set so forgive me if i sound more then stupid. I think if someone can compare it to two nukes it would have far more of an impack.

Could you post the link (english version if possible) of the 'map' shown in this video at min 4:17, world map red boxes of radiation highs? I live in Brasil and have been thinking rad levels here are pretty high, perhaps due to effects of what is So Atlantic Anomaly. thanks, Ania

Thank you for a simple and concise explanation of the contamination - I shudder to think of the internal contamination the children of this country are being exposed to
You need to consider internal contamination via inhalation and skin absorption not just external radiation exposure.
The beathing in of "hot radioactive particles" is a serious health issue - well documented and the most dagerous aspects of radiological releases into the environment.
And Fukushima hot particles have been detected around the Northern Hemisphere - espcially Northern America.
@Alchaeon1 I completely agree. Internal exposure is much more serious than external exposure. This is such a huge and deep topic however with so much to say about it, that I try to stay focused on one aspect and one set of facts at a time. I do however definitely need to talk about internal exposure in a future video.
This video is kind of a set-up for future ones because if external exposure levels are like this, then clearly it must be concluded that bad internal exposure is happening.
Yes the standard seems to be 1m AGL so as to have parity across monitoring stations
However as several Swedish researchers discovered after Chernobyl 1m AGL does not accurately indicate radiation from fallout. A 5 or 10cm AGL reading should be added
None of this takes into account the internal radio emitters {IRE}, which seems to be a widespread problem and very dangerous
Undoubtedly the evac zone must be enlarged anything else is continued criminal negligence
And the MEXT data are air readings 0.5 to 1 meter above the ground. But when you put a Geiger counter to the ground or surfaces, places shown on the MEXT map as cyan (low dose) can yield red-level readings (5.0 μSv/h or above). Couple examples
10 μSv/h in Kamakura : watch?v=-WLhh9Xrfow#t=3m45s
@HyperIndividualist@GoddardsJournal: Good points. I know and I agree. I am going touch on that in my next video. The air readings are often quite different from readings at ground level.
Even if the .5 and 1 meter above ground level readings massively under-represent the situation, the map in this video is extremely disconcerting.

informative, took me ages to find a map and I wonder why. This should be given out and told to the people.

Don't these things "evaporate/disappear" after a year...like the oil in the Gulf of Mexico, and ALL other MAN MADE DISASTERS before...
What toxins?...Obviously faulty readings...We need more research...Nothing to see here...All clear...

The Japanese government is tendering for software to track all Internet references to the nuclear crisis. Censorship coming? See the PDF

@GoddardsJournal That they're doing it .5 to 1 meter AGL is nothing but rigging and maniupuation to me.
