Was on this service today, and it was great. Coming back from Sunderland to York there was a silly cow working on the train who complained to the guard that my friend and I had our heads out of the train, and he came and told us to stop. Still, as the train was pulling out of York she was leaning out a bit (looking for bashers to criticise I guess) so I shouted "get your head in love" at her for good measure.
What a fantastic noise these Valentas make. Still, not long to go now I suppose :-(
Glad you enjoyed the ride. I have not had the oportunity yet to travel on this one.
However a couple of weeks ago I was travelling on the Spanish high speed AVE from Malaga to Madrid. 512 Kms in 2 1/2 hours. I will be posting this on U tube soon.
There getting more rolling stock to start a London King's Cross - Bradford service. And there in the process of drawing up plans for a Scarborough London King's Cross service as well.
I think GC has possibly the coolest livery of any company in the UK

@Cazkumali
Not sure about this but I would hope and like to think so and it would certainly be a good idea.

Ah, the unrivaled sound of a Paxman Valenta HST. I've just uploaded a video of this powercar (43084) passing through Newcastle :)

I do believe this service goes to Sunderland, not Edinburgh.
Calling at [North of york]: Thirsk, Northallerton, Eaglescliffe, Hartlepool & Sunderland.
Calling at [South of York]: London Kings Cross only
