First, she isn't dead, she tried to get into the Olympics this year (2010) but I think due to not skating for 3yrs they didn't let her. She is my favorite skater, and really flexible o.o

She didn't make the Olympic team because she placed 4th at Nationals, and the USA only sent two female skaters, not three like in previous years.

Absolutely gorgeous spirals. My 6 yr old almost has the Sasha spiral. She just competed in Scottesdale and shocked everyone with the absolute height of her spiral but she is also a gymnast.

i got to skate with her its was so fun ive never learnt so much from one skater before she ven helps my with my sit and camel i got to do it because i was sick with cancer and my coach asked her she would be able so show me somethings and skate with me because i had cancer and a week later she had come to the hospital and took me to go skate with her she was so nice to me she didnt talk about me having it she smiled th whole time

i went to the stars on ice show and got backstage passes. i met all of the skaters. shes really short too. im about 5'6 and I looked down to her. there should be another stars on ice next year though if you would want to look forward to it at all.

No.. spirals are just a form, an outline in a composition of a figurative expression while engaging in balance. Most figure skaters have used their pose in a form of artistry, and are able to express them while using their outer emotion and passion. Sasha has used her artistry as a component to figuratively express herself in visual form.

she has very nice spirals, but i think that caroline zhang may have even better spirals than Sasha :O and they're are also others who have amazing spirals like Mao Asada and Mirai Nagasu. I liked this video, it was well made, nice choice of music too. :)

She needs to improve more as a competitor in long programs (she falls too much) but as an artist she

currently has no peer. Her spirals and layback spins

are the prettiest sights in all of sports. I think

she'll do better pro exhibitions than competitions,

because there is less demand on triple jumps, and more

focus on artistry and showmanship.

Not the Beilmann, I don't think. The one where she holds a Y-stretch or whatever it's called, and does a 3 turn. I agree that it seems to stop too abruptly.

In my opinion, not many can rivalize with Sasha's... but one thing I miss is that stretch position when she holds her leg up near her head, she used to do a backward 3-turn and now does a forward one, but it's not quite as nice. The backward one had litterally no stopping and just glided smoothly... it was exquisite!
