The fact that the title of this story embedded itself in the mind of a high school student who only took his studies half seriously is impressive! I revisited this classic on a whim and am glad I spent the time. Whether or not someone has a biblical basis to buy into the storyline is to be determined by the reader, but one cannot deny the plausibility of Hawthorn's direction. This world is a great wilderness and has the potential to entice even the most devout from the path of reason.

Thanks for taking the time to post this video! It is so much easier to follow the story line and focus on the many allegories and other forms of symbolisms found through out this piece with someone else reading it.
I am studying English and I like Nathaniel Hawthorne, each time that you read him you find a new interpretation. It is mysterious and thought provoking.
Perhaps, for a non-native like me it would be better to have more photographs in the video, but I do appreciate your reading.
@kerouazmajda Hola tengo una tares de este tema y queria saber si me puedes ayudar, estas son la 2. Check on the facts of the Salem Witch Trials. Do any of the figures from the trials appear in the story?
3. Check on King Philip's War. How did the American Puritans participate in that war?
4. When Brown goes into the woods at night, what is he looking for? What do the woods represent?
5. Is Brown's experience in the woods "real"? What does that word mean in this context?
