I remember watching a documentary on the EDL and to dismiss them all as racist knuckledraggers is wrong. Some of those interviewed spoke really well about how they felt that as white working class people they no longer had any reprensentation or political voice. It was as if they were there to prove they still existed really. There also, however, seemed to be a much more sinister element involved and it is hard to take any group which has such supporters seriously.
