No doubt the first use of tamborine during a metallica set, lol. Love early Kinks, on into the 70s and even 80's, "come dancing" and all. Kinks get overlooked when ppl talk about the big English invasion bands.

Not Really! Behinf the Beatles/Stones/Who...The Kinks are the next big band but I do agree with you that they don't get the recognition they deserve although being inducted into the R-n-R Hall of Fame in their 1st year of eligibility around 89/90 was definitely recognition. People who know music know The Kinks are one of the most influential bands ever. People who don't know music have no clue about their influence.
