I had the great fortune of taking lessons from this world class player when he lived in CA. I will never forget his modesty and kindness and sincererity. To this day, I still play all the hooks he showed me. I told him once I strived to sound as good as him on his worst day. He laughed and told me i was a good player already. I will never forget the inspiration he gave me that day. I will always be greatful to have known such a wonderful person. Peace Bro....Daryl
Richie was fabulous. It was unbelievable to be on stage with him ever single time. He played the sexiest, slinkiest sounding hooks of anyone we have ever known. We were just high on the sound of that guitar and his great voice. And he was modest and he ran cool. He was world class cool.
I knew Richard since 1977...We used to have Jam sessions in Sky Valley CA at Keith Gililand's home. Great memories....
