Adopting a child is accepting a child as one of your kids ,and make the child equal with all your kids.That means ,You have to give him your surname and all the family ties.
Giving a child food and bringing up a child is the same thing you do what the child received in Foster.
Giving the child your name does not make him/her equal with your other kids. They know they are adapted and they get into confusion to know who they actually are and where they came from. Do you know the age of maturity in Islam? Once the adapted child matures he or she will be modest to the rest of the family and the family will reciprocate as per the teachings of Islam. You are looking at adoption from the point of view of taking a child and saying he/she is 'mine'. You don't breast feed adults in Islam. It was only one case during the time of the prophet and never repeated again. Pls check the Islamic Fiqh. Educate yourself on the subject and then address it. Thank you.

Islam allows adoption but it does allow you to give the child the name of a different father than his. The child can be part of the family but Islamic laws that pertain to privacy must be observed. Adopting a child does not make you his father but rather a care giver that should educate the child of his/her parents.

Giving the child your name does not make him/her equal with your other kids. They know they are adapted and they get into confusion to know who they actually are and where they came from. But if you tell them who they actually are and refer to them by their parents' name and give them equal treatment, then they will be a lot better. That is what we do in Islam. You might have different idea but it doesn't make Islam bad. Ask those who are adapted. Then make a better judgement.

Israel never existed as a territory in the Bible. Bible tells us that Israel was the name Allah gave to Prophet Jacob - Peace be upon him ( yaqub in Arabic).
