Unfortunately, this scene pretty much confirms that the Lex who died in Requiem was the real Lex, which once confirmed will be the biggest insult to the character of Lex Luthor. I'm hoping that we'll get a twist that involves the real Lex being alive all this time. Something like Chloe foreseeing this very scene thanks to Dr. Fate's helmet & replacing the coffin in the grave seen here with Jimmy's coffin so that Darkseid resurrects Jimmy with his Omega Effect.

Well, they never had a merging of the 2 Zods. So if he returns, something that should happen is General Zod's phantom being released from the Phantom Zone & permanently merging with Major Zod's body as he suffers a fatal wound & is healed just as General Zod takes his body. It would involve Brainiac, who I theorized was brought back & took the form of Alia when the orb released the Kandorians after Doomsday. Brainiac should return & merge the Zods (his main objective) & leave.

On Wikipedia they said all the characters that should appear this season. They got them all right, now there is only two remaining.

well if u think about lionel making a deal with darkseid to bring back his son and the superman mythology.you will stumble upon the rule many writers use for centuries. a body for a body. like darksied will bring back lex but will kill lionel and erase him from everyones mind except lex then lex will change the companies name to LexCorp

I love that Connor/Superboy was brought into Smallville. At least now we know Connor isn't Lex because of this episode. So who will Lex be though? Revived somehow by Darkseid, another clone, or is the real Lex not really dead?

Can't wait for TV to make it's return in a month after yet another gay/long ass fucking break in the world of television. Whats with all the fucking breaks this tv year? Two in November then one in December? Come on, calm down please...

@Tablekorner 10 bucks says the next coming episodes (which brings Earth 2 back) will bend reality in such a way that Lex will not really be dead at all. But also since John Schieder is in one more episode after the next one, I have a funky feeling he will return for the finale as well, to line up a little more streamline with the comic books (cause he doesn't get killed off again til around Blackest Night anyways)

Couple of rumors running around like he will sacrifice Lionel to revive the real Lex. But we will find out hopefully next week. I think the show returns next week anyway.

I wonder if Darkseid would resurrect Lex Luthor. And if he does, it would be really interesting on how the relationship between Superman and Lex would be. I believe that given that Lex knows Clark's identity, Lex would just "have fun" with Clark by doing all the bad things that he would do, sort of like the Joker does with Batman. Lex Luthor would not reveal the true identity of Superman because it would just spoil Lex's fun. Think about that. :)
