Dioxin may be the most toxic substance known on earth. The incinerator should be shut down, not retrofit or "modernized." As problematic as land fills are, they are cleaner than incineration. Land fill polutants can be at least managed over a period of decades, incinerators force poison & green house gas directly into our air.

Call me crazy but I see a clear parallel between what's happening now in the US and what has happened since always in Latinamerica. Politicians indebt the country (big projects means a part of the $ goes to them) then they leave the next politician in turn to deal with how on earth to repay back. @YoungSpotUBrock Yes I can explain. the main point you are missing is that derivatives rely on leverage. Sort of like if you put a 10k down payment on a 100k house and it falls in price 10%, you just lost 100% of your investment. Only they are much more leveraged.

So all of the banks deposits were leveraged up hundreds of times over creating this multi trillion dollar bubble, and the depositors could care less because the Gov't said your money is safe. The FED and Fanie Mae were the other prob

If a business is greedy they can only get money from me if I freely give it to them. I give my money to a bank because I assume Ill get it back. There was higher unemployment at first (the mal-investment fell flat, the good investments persisted) As stated thee was 1-2 bad years and then it went up.

Unemployment dropped, but then rose AFTER the fed changed the interest rate.

Regan was hardly wonderful, but was better than any other president in the last 50 years.

That would hugely boost the power of word of mouth and local demand and reduce overheads. Opportunities to enter the highest classes would be very slightly hampered but opportunities for all classes to enter the class of the rich would be increased.
