Netbooks in Taipei shops

I never saw the appeal of a laptop before but when I saw some revieuws of the Samsung N110 (10"netbook) I started seeing some uses for a mobile system. Picked it up for 170 euros which was extremely cheap and loving it.

Apple could never release a netbook because netbooks are supposed to be AFFORDABLE, a word that apple does not know the meaning of.

apple computers are way more advanced then most computers running windows.. windows computers may cost less but you get what u paid for

I couldn't agree with you more, but but Apple's design philosophy may be better applied elsewhere (like on a 15" or 17" laptop, or a workstation, not on a 8.9" netbook that will be obsolete in a year or less) Netbooks and MIDs are developing rapidly and it seems like every month some company has come up with a way to make them cheaper and faster (ie Nvidia's ION platform and Intel's constant atom improvements) IOM it just wouldn't make sense for Apple to get into the netbook market right now.

Apple won't release a netbook because if it's cheap and works well (and we all know they can do it) it will cut into their bigger sales. The iPod touch and iPhone sit at 300$, the Mini sits at 500-600$ ish. Then the first entry level laptop at 1000$. An apple netbook for around 400$? Not gonna happen. Netbooks would kill other sales for apple, considering the small selection they have in computers.

They have nice machines, but they are expensive. If you feel they are worth it however...to each his own.
