BMW 318ti vs. BMW 320 - part III

318 is less heavy, a 318 alway beats a 320. only at topspeed a 320 is faster.

On bedy roads a 320 even more slower. Weight does more then power. Thats why i bought a 318is instead of a 320i. Its soooo much more fun on track:D

The m44 1.8 4cyl. engine (318ti) is just 8 hp less than the m50 2.0 6cyl. but has dual ram intakes so has better throttle response so it can definately beat the 2.0 6cyl.

Also the 2.0 sixses are known to have bad rev response.

and the 320 have vanos^^^^^ the compakt have less wight and smaller tyres i think!

m3 swap, I dont think so, this is stock believe it or not. I have a ti, and they are pretty quick

i think BMW 1 series are based on 318ti.....  small car big engine = Power + Speed

Well, they have nearly the same power output but the 320 weighs much more both because of engine and then the sedan body,.

That 318ti has a engine swap, 6 cylinder M3 engine im very sure.

im very sure you're wrong, a 318ti with m3 swap takes off like a bat out of hell, that launch looked very similar to what i do and i have the stock m44. People underestimate the value of weight (or in this case lack thereof)
