They weren't having fun? That's funny because I don't remember seeing you there the day I recorded this. These kids had been there for 2 weeks, and having spent the past 3 days with them, I can say with a high degree of certainty that they were indeed having fun at this particulair moment. There were no upperclassmen around at that moment, and even if there were, they would not have dared to interfere with the skit I offered to tape and email to the parents of these amazing kids.

Just so you know, these guys aren't just "having fun." They're plebes (freshmen), being forced to do that stupid dance by some upper classmen. Also, that song is a traditional Army song from a very long time ago. Basically, it's "semi-joking frat hazing" that's going on here. It's just part of being a plebe (you also have to memorize old traditional songs like that one in order to pass basic training.)
um ya these are the future leaders of our country!!!! they are some of the best people in the world!!! so ya they can have fun! all cadets do that! if u actually knew them(like i do!) then u wouldnt say that!!!!!!!! i live breath and love west point!!!
In about three years I will enter the Ratline at VMI. If I had to change that plan, I'd go to The Citadel instead. You have a good time at West Point; I mean that.
But I won't ever be going there, not when I've got VMI and The Citadel in my home region, the South.
