  • next time....the mouth! :)

  • "There is nothing else that will do this"

I have to respectfully disagree with you there, skippy!

Ableton allows you to do all that kind of stuff with its incredible rack system, allowing you to create up to 128 chains all triggered by midi notes. You can't route them all THROUGH each other, but its the same idea.

  • @dylanmsterling4 - DUDE ! Thanks for pointing this out. I have Ableton Live and I'm learning it but didn't know about this ability. Very cool and I thank you for sharing this.

  • @thepluginguru - Dudes!! In order to do all of that in ableton it will take a few instruments and effects and time consuming automation drawing and recording etc. I use ableton for all of my music production and creating cool effects takes way too much time. The finger resolves all of this.. period..

  • How does this program compare to Izotope Stutter Edit?

  • @Anotherday45 - stutter gives you more control - especially setting things up to go from one setting to another over time. It also has a killer "transition" mode that Finger doesn't have - having said that, the Finger has more effects and a number of them don't exist in the Stutter Edit universe. Unfortunately, you need both. : /

  • @NoonELee - totally agree. Artillery is super cool and can do things the Finger can't. The compressor some other effects are awesome in Artillery.

  • Skip, I've got Kore Player and I recently bought Komplete 7 so I can really start making some nice sounds...How do I add all the components to the FX section within the player? I'm limited to what was already on there...can you help?

    THanks

    Blake

  • @007blakey007 - Blake - I'm not an employee of Native Instruments, but I'd suggest re-installing the Kore Player. This will give it a chance to re-scan all of your libraries and they should then show up... good luck!

  • Skip, can you do a vid for 'The Mouth' showing how you actually initiate it on a track (midi, audio, instrument track?) and record the effects? Thanx.

  • @mimoocho - not planning to cover The Mouth, my friend.... Absynth 5 and Omnisphere are next!

  • The finger is a cut down version of the Reaktor Ensemble that Tim Exile uses for his live sets. The mouth is the same. Tim is a bit of a Reaktor genius.

  • @aikighost - I wouldn't call it a "cut down version". You can do more because of the interface in Reaktor but the internal workings and sound quality is exactly the same. Having said that, I do enjoy using the Finger more in Reaktor than in the free Kore 2 Player because of the ability to edit what each note does, if desired.

  • Hi @thepluginguru Great tutorial...! : )

I'll install "the finger" but don't know how to use it now with free Kore Player I downloaded. I can't see it on the soundpack column. It seems to be installed though. does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

    Thank you very much..

  • @r4uLc - make sure you have hit the "FX" button on the center Left. The Finger is using the Kore player for effects so it won't show up on the main load page. Watch Quik-E Video #5 and see if maybe that will help.

  • can you actually show how you configured it in logic to play midi and how did you route the audio? Im using the actual instrument.

  • @Yulfinator Quik-E Video #5 shows how to set this up in Logic Pro....

  • good job the finger is awsome

  • @NoonELee Very true - it's not quite the same. I find the Finger can take things a lot farther than Artillery can. The Finger is also less than 1/2 the cost of Artillery... But both together can be quite a lot of fun ;D
