  • What is the red spring assisted called?

  • @dcfirecraft Colt Rockloc Firefighter.

  • Alright..laws..laws..laws...It seems there is a lot of grey area concerning these, I am just a very small collector who own a few auto's OTF's two of them are homemade in a machine shop...I was planning on buying another, but it seems FEDeral shipping laws differ from state possession laws...For example its legal to possess one of these in Arkansas ,but not to ship to unless you're military or Gov. ...Is there any loop holes that i may be ignorant about, that ican get around this?

  • @MrKreyvic It is not legal for you to purchase it unless you are a qualified person. What is a qualified person? One Law Enforcement, Two Military, Three Have One Arm, 4 Procurement for the first 3. So proclaim 4 there is no license and proclamation is legitimate because if you are making some yourself you are doing R and D for your own model. Being 4 on the qualified proclaim you are planning on selling to 1, 2 and 3 at a future date, even if that is when aliens come back, all legit then.

  • @Roadsideimports Thanks for the information...I may just found my next Hobby-part time job!

  • @MrKreyvic Yeah, you are a seller, that is it, the best thing in the world is to go outside and proclaim you are the King of Zamunda and a Knife Dealer. That is all it takes and you will be both as far as the law is written.

  • in philippines balisong is really popular, alot of people over are acostum in balisong, i2 use 2 have one.

  • I saw a benchmade

  • @tmoney818 Along time ago before all the bullshit with Les D'Ahole ever started.

  • what is the pink one called

  • 2:34 do slow motion plz

  • so i can legally buy a spring assisted?

  • @ultimatevie depends on where you are?

  • @Roadsideimports in indiana

  • @ultimatevie Ok, now call your local police and ask about all applicable knife laws to where you are. State laws are one thing but city and county can put harsher laws into effect and you need to go to the local level to check laws.

  • U sound like night rider

  • where can I buy a dual action knife one with the hidden realest in the handle ?

  • At AssistedKnife

  • Name of the bottom middle knife plz (red knife)

  • @spartan076 it's called the "Colt Rockloc Firefighter" good luck finding them though, they have been discountinued

  • @808CraftsmanCo I still have them for sale, I have a few left.

  • Aren't the first four sliding knives?

  • That's one way of saying it. Out the Front or OTF is common, you are right they slide in the channel and are spring powered automatics.

  • Well, this video is a bit repetitive, but at least it does NOT have a button in the handle.

  • Spring assisted knives are cool, but in my experience, most of them are cheaply made in China, and aren't very sharp at all. Blade steel is usually something like 440A or 440B Stainless Steel.

If you want GOOD spring assisted knives that cut well for EDC tasks/self defense, you'll need to go with brand names, like S.O.G, Kershaw, Buck, Smith and Wesson, and Schrade. SOG Trident, SOG Aegis, SOG Flash II, Kershaw Shallot, Kershaw Blackout, and Kershaw Oso Sweet are great spring assisted knives.

  • You are actually right, most of them are made in Chicketee China The Chinese Chicken You Have.

There are a few that are made here but not many only the high priced models and most people still are inclined to buy cheap shit, sometimes people need them, like in a fishing tackle box nice and rusty, on the boat in a compartment with a bunch of junk. Left in a tool box, forgotten outside by the tool shed. There are many wonderful reasons, even the garbage can.

  • Then even with brand names those are the high grade garbage units made in Chicketee China The Chinese Chicken You Have.

They just have slightly higher specs, steel is still shit on most.

Then you move in to models Made in the USA, that is all you have to look for.

Brand Names are bullshit, Location is Key. Blade Steel needs to be Japanese, American, or Swedish for good quality.

  • @Roadsideimports That's why I didn't buy any knives from China anymore. All the knives I have are from Cold Steel, except for one S.O.G. Blade steel is Japanese AUS8 or VG-1 Stainless Steel, not as good as Spyderco's VG-10, but good enough in my book. I'm skeptical about high end Chinese blades, like 9Cr13CoMoV or 8Cr14MoV, like in Sypderco's Byrd series, and some S.O.G models.

But Cold Steel, Spyderco, and S.O.G do a great job with their knives. CRKT is hit or miss.

  • @Roadsideimports Chinese Chicken? wow why do you say shit like that

  • @chengda85 The Jerky Boys, you never heard of "Chicketee China The Chinese Chicken You Have"

That is an old school phone prank, look it up and youtube and watch it. It is a joke but only those who know what I refer to actually get it.

  • I thought Canadian laws sucked but I just recently found out that ASSISTED KNIVES ARE NOT ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I cant seem to find the dual-edged dual action scarab on the site. (2nd knife in video) please help

  • I'll have more in stock shortly.

  • hello JB i am just curious, can a leaf spring be replaced on a italian classic leverletto switchblade, it seems like the knife is sealed shut but is there a way?? i would really like to get this knife operating again so any help would be much appreciated

  • You would have to drill out the rivet and replace them again or put screw construction to put it back together. It would be some work but can be done.

  • @Roadsideimports hahahaha i thought it would be something difficult like that aye, i might decided to do it one day

  • @Roadsideimports hahahahah i thought it would be something difficult like that, i might decided to do it one day. cheers for the help

  • Hey JB I have a few questions

What is the shipping charge to canada?

    And

How fast do you ship (on average)?

  • $15 and shipping is 5 to 7 days most times, but customs can delay further.

  • the guy in this video sounds like a huge asshole. and ur kinda being an ass to people who are asking to buy knives i mean seriously, if they r customers why be a smart ass to them?

  • Number one not everyone is a customer.

Number two if you get ass hurt so easily then you are a pain in the ass to begin with and not a customer that I want.

Number three if people are being stupid then someone should tell them to help them correct their behavior, that is really when people care for one another.

Number four political correctness is bullshit

Number five I have the right to refuse to serve people or sell to them

    Number six GROW UP

  • I just ordered a awesome balisong from yall. Any idea on when it will arive? Just curious.

  • will you guys send switchblades to california

  • If you are Military, Law Enforcement, or have one arm you are allowed to carry them in California

If you are not then California Legal model which are 2 inches or smaller is what you are allowed to carry but then remember that city and county laws can be harsher than the state statutes.

  • @Roadsideimports no you got it wrong i dont want to caarry it i collect them and i wanted to know if ur website ships switchblades and butterfly knives to cali i know all the rules but i dont want to carry it cuz i dont want to get arrested i want to collect them

  • I ship globally, I tend to think people in California are on Mars sometimes that is for sure.

  • @Roadsideimports so u will its just a yes or no not to be a jackass cu i want to buy ur 32 inch butterfly knife

  • That is a sword it does not fall into the balisong category. Like I said I ship to the entire planet and last I check California was on planet Earth, I shipped things there yesterday, today and I will tomorrow as well.

  • @Roadsideimports thank you do u guys have free shipping

  • No, people pay for shipping, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

  • Is it possible if i like get a cheap balisong and make it dull and unsharp on the tip of the blade? Then will i be able to do balisong tricks in public?

  • Buy a Trainer model, a bottle opener model, or a comb model.

  • Is a bailsong legal in california?

  • If the blade is unsharpened and it is a trainer or the blade is 2 inches or smaller if you want to carry it, otherwise you are not allowed to carry the item into public.

  • what is the knife called at 2:16, the stilleto one. i really want to but this 2day!

  • AKC Leverletto

  • Nice Knife collection......am seriously drooling over those Micro techs...I wish I had one.....best one I got is a Sog Seal Pup.....Used to have a cold steel but I gave it to a friend as a gift....Great video.....

  • The Concords?

  • @Roadsideimports

Top row, 3rd and 4th from the left

  • @Roadsideimports

Top row, 3rd and 4th from the left

  • 3rd is the MOD Harkins Triton and then 4th is the AKC Concord

  • You guys ship to the netherlands?

  • Yes, not a problem I ship to the Netherlands.

  • danm why are all the good knife eliggel in tx

  • i got a knife from here and it sucked so badly, it locks up really loose and i always have to tighten it.---Airbourne Scarab Assisted Blade w/ Glass Breaker/Skull Splitter

  • It is called go get off your ass go buy some Loctite and use it. All Chinese Shit no matter what does not have thread locker. When you are not a Cheap Ass and buy a quality knife then they actually use thread locker. So if you buy Cheap Shit you do have to use thread locker and I state this everywhere on the website.

  • are these knives legal in canada?

  • Spring Assisted Knives are legal in Canada.

  • where can u get the second one it so beast

  • At the website AssistedKnife

  • Can you sell me one of those switchblades or tell me a web site to go to to get the black switchblade with black switch?

  • Which black one, there are alot on here. Narrow it down was it an out the front model? Side opening?

  • @Roadsideimports double action dual blade thats the black one I want. The second one you introduce in your collection of awsome knifes.

  • Microtech Scarab there is also a clone called the Thrasher, you can go to my website at AssistedKnife and go to the automatic switchblades and then to the OTF section. You can also go direct at OTFSwitchblade both are dot coms as well

  • wich is more dangerous, a butterfly knife or a switchblade.

  • Neither, a knife is not dangerous, it is an object. If it is in the hands of someone who is doing wrong then that person is the one that has dangerous behavior. Don't blame objects instead of the person, taking this approach is invalid.

  • thats a very clever and true way of thinking. thanks

  • that is true, and a good thing to tell a mother, but suppose you were accident prone, which one these knives would you be more likely to cut yourself with?

  • @Roadsideimports IF the scrawny 120 pound high school student has an Ar-15 in his hand he is dangerous. If he has a knife i will pick up a desk and proceed to bash his head with it. If he was an Ar-15 i will hide under the desk and proceed to shit myself. Objects are dangerous despite overused cliche redneck arguments.

  • Because you are ignorant and blame the object rather than the person behind it. That is typical from the Liberal Sissy Left.

Redneck no sorry, not my creed, I have no one in my family from that region. So choose another slur to call me.

But it does go to show that when you can validate your statements you conclusion is to insult creed which further shows your ignorance.

  • @Roadsideimports Creed is an insult in itself. Creed is the opposite of logic. Looking at statistics alone it is clear that objects are responsible. Insane people cannot do a thing without objects. You are a redneck. You hid behind your guns and weapons like a coward but no one would fear your type otherwise.

  • We are done with your stupid nonsense. Go back to hugging your tree and believing the world will be great when you have no rights to do anything. I hope you enjoy the straight jacket and padded cell you get.

I can't be a redneck if I was born in the UK, doesn't work, it is illogical in the thought process, same would go for a Mexican guy he can't be a redneck either. It would be logical to say that we share some common interest, like the 2nd Amendment.

  • You are right about the object though, once it is taken away they can't use it, but wrong with the outcome because there is always something else.

98% of knife crime is committed with a FULL TANG knife from the kitchen called a UTILITY KNIFE, so if logic was correct then all kitchen knives should be banned.

2% of crimes are done with other knives, a pocket folder is not a choice because it collapses at the locking device with blunt force so anyone with a brain would use a FULL TANG.

  • So using your logic, all KITCHEN KNIVES should be made ILLEGAL to protect us from the dangers from people who misuse them.

All kitchen knives should be made into a folder that collapses on impact to help reduce the crime rate.

    What bullshit.

Guns were made illegal in the UK and in Australia and crime rates went up 45% with home invasion and robbery.

Why? No guns you should be safer?

Wrong now only the criminal and police have guns.

  • If you outlaw guns then who will have them?

No law abiding citizen could have them, but the criminals yeah, they will come and turn them in because they like to do the right thing and listen to authority.

Get real moron. Criminals will always have guns no matter what period. You can go buy a gun on the street whether they are illegal or not from any criminal in any country because that is the nature of it all.

  • Who got hurt with the gun ban in the UK and AUS?

The Elderly. Yes, idiot people now know that they can break into homes and rob them and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Oh you want to rely on the government to protect you, ha ha ha, funny. They made it illegal for you to defend yourself as well in those places. So if you are robbed you can't defend your property or act in defense towards your attacker.

What kind of nonsense crap is that?

  • So you are telling me if your grandfather and grandmother was getting the shit kicked out of them and their home robbed you'd ask the guys doing it if they wanted some tea and biscuits?

You're a fool and are the reason these things happen, go read the statistics and pull your head out of your ass because you should be ashamed of yourself for being such a fool.

  • Omg i love your vids Favorited voted 5 and subscribed :D

  • Word, sorry

  • This video would be so much better if you didn't pronounce each work like your talking to a foreign child. It's annoying to listen to. Aside from that I hope you kick Benchmades ass..

  • are switchblades legal in NY without a hunting or fishing licence and are they legal to buy

  • For law enforcement, military, and persons with one arm completely legal everywhere in the US.

Owning is up to state statutes, then county and city laws apply so it depends on all those variables. Best thing to do is give the local police a call and ask them about the knife laws that apply to you. Remember though most laws are about carrying things into public.

  • thanks so every thing is the same

  • wich is a better quality knie the Koncord Black Tactical OTF Double Action Switchblade Kit or the NATO Tomb Raider Dual Edge D/A OTF Automatic Switchblade Kit - ON SALE does the $3 make a difference?

  • ABS handle to Aluminum handle.

  • does the leverletto come out the side or the front? please answer soon

  • It comes out the side.

  • why do you talk like that...

  • im glad i live in nc.

the law here is that u can have any folding knife as long as its not over 4 inches.

    i break that rule.

we can also carry ANY fixed blade that isnt double edged and it cannot be concealed.

  • can you ship to canada toronto

  • I ship to Canada

  • Switchblade and Butterfly

  • Parts

  • soooo????? you'll send the parts and i have to put it together?????????????

  • The question that is more accurate is, can you put it together.

Email me your questions direct just like I state in the video.

  • Sorry but in my last LONG comment i forgot to say that i live in Canada in case you dont know that Ontario is in Canada.

    Thanks

  • I asked the police in my area...SSM Ontario and she told me that spring assisted knives are illegal and and knife that can open with the flick of your wrist is illegal...I looked at the criminal code and i gathered that these spring assisted knives and flick knives (i dont care about flick knives though) are completely legal. Your other video also says that they are legal, along with ebay...can you tell me for sure if these are legal or not...i hope to buy from you if they are legal

    Thanks

  • Do I by any chance know if balisong are legal in Cali. If not can u tell me why not

  • If it is over 2" in length it is illegal by Penal Code 653K for you to carry into public. Then city and county laws could restrict further.

  • So i may not carry it but may I buy from your websight and you may ship to Cali?????

  • Depends on your state laws and county and city laws, best thing to do is call the local police and ask them about the laws that apply to you, document who you spoke to and when, the officer might be wrong with what he says but they are suppose to know these issues, most laws are about carrying them, but with such a practice you have made the attempt to do the lawful thing and have it documented should you be misinformed.

  • hey man i was wondering if i can download and use ur vid for my blog it covers this exactly

  • Sure no problem.

  • wait, so how does Amendment 1447 affect butterfly knives? are they legal now?

  • Is the last knife in that group legal in Texas? Because I found no law aginst it but I don't want to get 1 and have it confiscated I know or atleast I think I know that Bali-song or butterfly knifes are legal but are assisted opening knives and the switch blades legal in Texas? Thanks if you respond

  • Is that second last spring assisted knife from Bladeplay?

  • No its from my website Assistedknife

  • i thought u hate benchmade.....

  • I do. I did this video long before they started acting like assholes.

  • ok dude please reply to my other message regarding my near-future purchases

  • Email me and don't do it thousands of times, I'm working my way down the line on things and if people email me multiple times, I move them to the end of the line. Sorry but that is how it works.

  • sorry my computer keeps sending multiple messages. Should i resend the email or u have it?

  • I am getting the blue spring assisted. I believe its an xcaliber. ZGonna be my first spring assisted. Any tips?

  • Buy Loctite and use it on the screws.

  • hey road side do they make an OTF that looks like a stilleto??

    many thx,

  • Yes, it is an old Italian model. They are from the 50's through 70's they are hard to find.

  • oh awesome man do you think you could give me some advice on where i could find one ?? preferably some where in canada . and i just got a Kershaw spring assisted knife and its great!! i highly recomend any one who is looking for a knife simialer t oit to get one!!

  • HEY oad side import can i buy a switch blade with a comb and knife blade separate?? thx

  • They are listed on the website

  • ok thanks alot man

  • i live in cali and switchblades are illegal but could i buy an auto one online just to keep at home not to possess with no problems?

  • Wrong they are not illegal. So don't make statements about things you are not clear about.

In California Switchblades are legal to carry if they are 2 inches or smaller unless the county or city laws restrict the state limits. Then anything over this size it is legal for law enforcement, military and one armed persons to carry. Restricted is completely different than illegal.

  • i meant a real switchblade not a 1.9 inch pansy blade

    and u avoided my question

  • I did not. Anything over 2 inches is only allowed to be carried legally unless you are qualified person. Laws are about carrying things.

If you want to know specifics then I suggest you call your local police department and ask them about all the applicable knife laws. This is the best way to know, they might be wrong but at least you'll know what they enforce.

  • So over 2 inches i can own legally? My question was can i buy it online and have a blade over 2 inches shipped to me without problems, legal or not

  • If you are qualified yes, not a problem then you are not restricted by the Federal Act, if you are not qualified then no. That is why there are parts for sale. Stop thinking in the box, step outside it and look from the outside in.

  • how bout u step out of the box so i can kick u in the nuts

  • You are seriously stupid and have no clue, so live in your ignorance and GTF

  • ahahaha this guy is retarded ahah "step out so i can kick you" ahhaha he is dumb as shit

  • ohhh, I see

  • Great vid!!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the info, I've been a bit confused on this myself!

  • why the scottish flag are you scottish? lol

  • Seeing that's where I was born makes good sense to me.

  • Hey, see those blades at the beginning?

The ones that need to be PULLED out but can also be flipped out by a button?

Are'nt all the blades that can be PULLED out just be FLIPPED out?

Cuz' i've seen them in shops down at Sydney Australia but not too sure if they're switchblades.

  • u can own one, but u cant carry it around

  • does the Balisong Butterfly hurt ur hand when u open it

  • if you do it correctly no. On another note, he uses a slower way to open the balisongs

  • no. unless u smack the blade againsted ur nuckels or something like that.

  • Depends on alot of factors. short answer: Yes but you build up calice on your kunckles where it hits.

If you swing it out really hard or screw up, you can end up bruising knuckles or pinching skin hard enough to produce blood.

  • you can get cut/bruised if you don't be careful

  • automatic knives are illegal in europe, right?

  • No depends where you are.

  • Local laws can be harsher than even state laws, so it is best to simply call the local police and ask the question on the knife laws. They may not always be correct but at least you will know what they are under the impression of.

  • even tho the benchmade company is a lying sack of shit and is disgusting for lying to their buyers, you have to admit, the bm42 is quite good for flipping.

  • wait why do you have a benchmade knife? i thought you were against their products...

  • I am, this is before the ban and the stupid lawsuit. I sold all my Benchmade items and never will buy anymore or sell anymore period. I'm not against the products per say I am against the company and its ethical position and how the company handles itself in the industry.

  • so what is up with that whole bench made thing ??

  • Bitchmade and Les D'Ahole, they are a bunch of pickle eaters who attack anything that gets into their market.

I got sued because I used the word balisong because they claimed it infringed on their trademark name BALI-SONG. They told me I had to give up all the names and address to everyone who bought balisongs from me and that I would have to pay $15,000 in damages and never use the word again.

I didn't do this ofcourse and I filed a TTAB hearing to revoke their trademark name.

  • haha wow that is so dumb what a bunch poo jabbers

  • are butterfly knives legal in massachusetts?>

  • Things are legal is they are a martial arts piece in some places, then remember most laws are about carrying them around into public. So your best bet is simply to call the local police and ask the question, they could possibly tell you the wrong thing but at least you know what they enforce and you did the responsible thing.

  • k thanks :)

  • there all pretty cool

  • switchblades are the best

  • Hey man 'sup? yo' do you have any reviews on the massive 30'' balisnog @ assistedknives??? I've been looking for it n' it's nowhere :(

  • Nope sorry no review on that item yet.

  • why do you have benchmade balisongs if you hate benchmade so much?

  • This is before the problem began and before Benchmade started acting like a monster.

  • oh i see. i like benchmade knives a lot tho.

  • That's to bad because the company is a disgraceful and disgusting company who attacks not only sellers but also makers and designers and they should be ashamed of their business practices.
