  • It was a real priviledge to live through the era when these songs were written and sung. Those of us that did so are now in the autumn of our years but can re-live our spring with vids like this. Thqank you for sharing and thank the Lord for giving us one Buddy in our lifetime.

  • Love this song next to Soft Place in my Heart.

  • awesome...

  • Buddy filled all the gaps with his guitar playing when on tour. They didn't need background vocals.

  • so true.

  • a keeper 5 stars

  • Thanks.

  • hey, it took you 5 months to reply... lol

  • first time i heard this song ! cool !!!

  • Thanks.

  • I once bought this song on a 45 single back in 1973. Loved it then and still do

  • Me too.

  • First Time I ever heard this song. Sounds like the cricket singing with him. what album or single release was this on? A Buddy Holly fan. Pete

  • Its the Roses actually but when they were on tour, the Crickets applied backing vocals. This is on only a few singles and albums as its quite rare, it sadly didn't chart. you can get it on the CD, The Buddy Holly Collections and some other records and CDs. thianks for the comment.

  • According to JI (Drummer), they didnt sing back-ups on tour, until after Buddys death...Buddy sang alone on stage, but, in a noisy concert hall, no one seemed to notice!

  • This song was first released on the Crickets first LP THE CHIRPING CRICKETS in November 1957. And in April 1964 on a UK single with AN EMPTY CUP on the B-side.

  • True.
