The combination and number of instruments and brilliant orchestration make this a rarity of music literature, and one of the treasures in that category. The orchestration is exceptional. An opening toccata for piano and almost all obbligato for the rest of the way, it still is a very pronounced concertante affair - "almost" a concerto. // Lovely, and tremendously great fun.
