  • The arrogance of Crassus.

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK YEAH TOTAL WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rome was incompetent when they started to look east. Asians are just too much for those guys.

  • @DragonOfQin

alexander was too much for the asians. and crassus was a dumbass

  • @bradyischamp lol true Alexander was too much for the Asians. East Asians however were too much for Alexander.

  • @bradyischamp Funny how everytime a European army looses its because of the leaders being "Dumbasses" while when a European army wins its because they are "Brave and powerful warriors!"

Alexander fought a decaying empire. The Persian empire had for voer 150 years had idiots as leaders. The only king who could make PErsia mighty again was Artaxerxes, but he only died after 7 years of reign, which was not enough.

An empire without a good head is doomed, no matter how brave they are...

  • Crassus got what he deserved i hate him for what he did to Spartocus' rebels -_-

  • @TalonMercenary he was just defending his country, any Roman would have done the same

  • @demise9998 What??? No he wasn't he was INVADING the Parthians' homeland!!

  • @TalonMercenary yes yes, he was invading Parthia, I meant defending Rome against Spartacus and the rebels

  • @demise9998 ohhhh lol sorry i understand now

  • Parthia and its horse archers are gods against hoplites.

  • @ganixaba They weren't always invincible: Parthian Horse Archers were in their element in the Syrian Desert, avoiding close contact engagements, at a distance. Armenia also had horse archers. The Armenian King would have gladly provided logistical support for an invasion through the Armenian Highland, but Crassus blundered and led his Roman Legions into the Syrian Desert.

  • Parthians weren't persians, but iranians. There were and are still more iranic people than just persians, e.g. kurds, zaza, balochs etc. And still they believe every empire on their soil to be theirs. Ridiculous.

The only empires which can truly be seen as "persian": Achaemenid and Sassanid.

  • @GeneralGrievous18

    Very true.

  • @GeneralGrievous18 Iranian is a new term.

Persian means actually all people speaking the Persian language, but it also means everybody who has Persian blood.

Parthains were Persians because their empire was controlling many other persian peoples and their army also consisted of people froma ll arround the persian world. To call it Iranian is just not right since Iran has never been used in history except of modern history.

  • The funny thing is... The Parthian army led by Surena was actually a Scout army.

The Parthian king was attacking Armenia and sent Surena to buy him some more time... Surena brought him victory. :)

  • Armenian had to pay heavy price for only offered help to Romans ,Parthian later attacked and occupied Armenia and Rome couldnt help them .

Good neighbour is better than far friend

  • @paymanmktr Does any good ever come to the Armenians?

  • thank you for this video

    very informational

  • All the guys who have commented "Crassus should have hired more men" are idiots.

The Romans did outnumber the Persians. The Persians had a scout army of 10 000 and still managed to defeat 40 000 Romans. (The main Persian army was invading Armenia.)

Even if the Romans had 60000 soldiers it would not help them that much as the Persians where fighting with mounted archers and heavy Cataphract cavalry.

The Romans had numbers... The Persians had tactics.

  • if anyone is interested check out the novel "the Forgotten Legion" by Ben Kane. It's about the battle and the history of three soldiers of the light infantry of mercenaries Nice book to read having sun on the seaside. Enjoy.

  • crassus should have done these things 1 recruit more men 2 ask of advice on how to fight the parthians

  • crassus should have recruited more men and calverly the idiot

  • decisive battles is awesome!

  • wish they could do a new season of Decisive Battles using NTW or S2TW engine

  • lol the music is from rome total war xD

  • @MrQwer32 the whole damn show is rome total war XD

  • @CM99501 lol

  • @MrQwer32 no shit sherlock. where u think the video comes from????

  • @MrQwer32 lol game motor is same than on rome total war

  • @MrQwer32

lol the game IS rome total war..

  • @MrQwer32 The best GAME EVER!!!

  • @MrQwer32 the video is from rome total war lol

  • @MrQwer32 well it is from total war lol

  • God it feels like only yesterday that I was sitting in my pre-ap world history class watching this thinking this video game looks pretty cool only a couple of months later Rome total war became my new addiction

  • Does RTW allow so many units on the field

  • @dogggfight9999999999 it says up to 10000 but it would lag on my computer =P but if u had 8 armys and maximum of 20 units each, that would be around 40,000. But it says up to 10,000 and idk why

  • Does RTW allow so many units on the feild

  • @dogggfight9999999999 no it allows a max of 5000 or so but the engine can take much higher numbers..so I believe the show uses a modded version of the game engine.

  • That guys from gossip girl...i think

  • "put his money where his mouth was" haha supposed to be a pun? Crassus was killed by the Parthians by having molten gold poured down his throat

  • Everyone is a mix of something. just leave it be. If you don't think it's true, then I explain it. I for example am Portuguese born, Portuguese meaning that I'm likely a mix of Lusitanian, Roman, and Germanic blood. To top it off, there are hints of Muslim, Druid, and Phoenician. Then if you go back even further, you Get Cro-Magnom and Neanderthal. Now imagine Iran, and how many empires and peoples crossed there. You wouldn't be able to name them all, so give it a rest guys and enjoy the video.

  • There's a terrific fictional interpretation of Carrhae in an old book called The Parthian by an author Mac Smith. I've long lost the book and can't find reference to either the book or the author on the net. Mind you, Mac Smith could be a pen name and the book reads a lot like a Howard Fast who had a bunch of pseudonyms. Anyway, that book's explanation of the strengths and weaknesses of the Roman and Parthian armies still meshes with most 21st century opinions.

  • can you people stfu about religion and just comment on the video?

  • Retards. This is a Persian victory. All Arabs get the fuck out of here with your Islam.

The old religions of Iran and other Persian countries will defeat Christianity, Islam and judaism.

  • @VictumRoManius Fuck...You.

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Oh did i hurt the feelings of that little christian fuck??

  • @VictumRoManius Polytheism what a joke lol.

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX

At least Zoroastrianism is not supporting stoning of women or burning of so called "Witches" like your bible. :)

  • @VictumRoManius Atleast we don't require sacrifices, oooohhh.

  • @VictumRoManius It actually doesn't say to burn witches in the bible, you fag. And how do you know I'm Christian, you fuck. Your dad was probably a leader in the holocaust, and Persia doesn't even exist anymore, proves how amazing it is.

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Uuuh, the little christian fuck is getting mad. :)

I recommend you to read your bible before you talk.

Specially the "Book of Deuteronomy" which is the 5th chapter.

There you will see how much shit there is in your bible.

Now go and die bastard. ;)

  • @VictumRoManius You would have a Bible lol. At least when I die I go someplace better, enjoy your time with the devil.

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Thats what you believe. But according to your shitty book you will also burn in hell. Because the only christians who actually MAY go to heaven are fundmentalists.

  • @VictumRoManius Hell isn't in your religion, you fag! Neither is heaven lol!

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Lol he powned you. Now go to your bible and cry little faggot :)

  • @xXRoNinBBBXx LOL! He brought you in! Don't deny it!

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX Wtf, are you high???

  • @xXRoNinBBBXx Don't deny it, you two are butt buddies, and help eachother with these Youtube fights, when you two aren't buttfucking eachother of course! ;)

  • @XxC0ldH3artxX No man...he owned you in every point and you got powned so bad just saying. And if you think you're going to somewhere better when you die, I got some sad news for u..

  • @xXRoNinBBBXx Notice how he stopped responding when you began arguing--means that he brought you in while he cried in a corner. Of course I didn't make him cry, you did because you didn't use any lube before buttfucking him.

  • @xXRoNinBBBXx Don't deny it, you two are butt buddies, and help eachother with these Youtube fights, when you two aren't buttfucking eachother of course! ;)

  • @VictumRoManius ???? what are you talking about really XD

  • @MultiStendhal Sorry, I was drunk.

If any christian, muslim or jew got offended, i beg for ya pardon.

  • @VictumRoManius ok, isee XD

  • @TheScienceofnature well you now seem to understand the nature of the Semitic people, it is fair now, but Arabs existed in Mesopotamia in pre-Islamic times, Hatra and Edessa are the examples, Semitic people are natives to their current land Mesopotamia, Greater Syria and Arabia, Indian-European nomads are native to the mountains of Zagros, some people confuse between modern Arabic language and Arab people, Arabs in the past spoke many languages but by ethnicity they are Arabs

  • Parthians were great nation, Greater then the Persians, they patronized art and culture

  • @DhuNawwas Iranians= MEDIANS , PARTHIANS , PERSIANS...That's all you need to know.

  • @Alliranians8420 i know that this classification is a 20th century invention, each ethnicity viewed themselves as distinct people. it is like the classification of Greeks and the English as European yet both groups are distinct by ethnicity, language and culture.

  • @DhuNawwas And about the Parthians,,,The true descendants of the Parthians are the people who are living in the north east of Iran and yes there are alot of Afghans who are from the Iranian descent but not the tat eyed Afghans.

  • @Alliranians8420 You do not have to explain anything, you are out of my circle, you are not in my agenda, some kurds are so naive to think that they are "Iranian", Iran is a Persian word used by Persians. Kurdish language and culture is full of loans from their more civilized people, they even have a large vocabulary of Arabic words and a large portion of Arabic culture. sorry i dont talk to Kurds, all my respects but you are neither Arab or Persian so you are out of it

  • @DhuNawwas hehehe,I had a feeling that this would be your response,And again not surprising. If we're not Iranian then all of those similarities in our language, culture and features,The celebration of the ancient Iranian holidays(Norooz,Sedeh,Yalda,Mehrgan,Sepandarmazd,Chaharshanbe soori)must be coincidence(according to you) which believe me is nonsense. You know what, no matter how hard i try to make you understand what are the facts about the Iranian people you can't understand and that's not...

  • @Aliranian there is a Kurd here "TheScienceofnature " who says Kurds are from Northern Iraq and Anatolia but not Iranians, ....... man they classify us the Arabs as Afro-Asiatic and we are lingually related to ancient Egyptians and Black Africans but as you can see this lingual classification have no impact genetically, we do not look anything like black africans,,, also Aryan term includes Dravidian black Indians and Persians in addition to the beautiful white "Kalash people" so its meaningless

  • Comment removed

  • @DhuNawwas because you can't understand,It's because you don't want to.

One more thing,,,No disrespect but THERE IS NOTHING ARAB ABOUT THE KURDS.

    Peace

  • @Alliranians8420 don't even bother talkin' to him my Kurdish brother..he won't listen...typical arab.

without the kurds iran is like a man with no legs.love you from the bottom of my heart my kurdish brother.

i know it in my heart that one day iran will regain its ancient pride and the iranians will give up everything that has the arabic smell on it...including and specially islam.

long live all of the iranians...persians;kurds((the definition of the word bravery));azeris;lurs...............

  • @looloolalaable Amen to that brother, Amen to that. Long live my beautiful land IRAN and its noble people.

  • @Alliranians8420 ok nothing Arab about the kurds except for sorani language, their language is full of Arabic loan words for example: Bale =Yes, Kitab=book, Jawab=answer...etc. Kurds found themselves in the Arabic sphere not in the Persian sphere, they call the Kurdish man (korde khar) you know what it means, so stop defending them and look for who gave you the rights you deserve not the one who wants you beside him or he starts cursing you, be Kurd from Kurdistan not an Iranian from Tehran :)

  • @DhuNawwas the Kurdish word for Book is pertook. Farsi language is influenced by Arabic as well e.g. Ismy to chya. Ism is an Arabic word. or, thank you they often say teshakurm, which is from the Turkish language. a lot of Arabic tribes migrated to Kurdistan and under saddam the Kurdish language was banned. its is a miracle that the Kurdish language didn't stop developing despite all the limitations on it. what is the reason for the Farsi language being so arabized? farsi are bogan

  • @DhuNawwas you must be one of those very arrogant Iranians. let me burst your bubble. Kurds had an empire and a language long before the Fars. the ancestors of the Kurds were the most powerful collection of kingdoms in middle east before the Persians took it over and lost it to the Greeks. the succeeding Kurdish kingdoms often consisted of Kurdish and Greek populations who made the foundation of the modern middle eastern cultures. Iranian and Turkish folklore still depends on Kurdish one.

  • @DhuNawwas you are right about the fact that Kurds are not Iranian, Kurds are the native people of northern Iraq and southern anatolia. Kurdish people have a lot closer ancestry with Armenians than they do with Iranians. the Kurdish language however is an Indo european language. the Kirmanji language is directly descended from the language of the Medes, the oldest aryan people in the area, about 200 years before the persians migrated. the Hawrami and yazidi language is older than even they.

  • @DhuNawwas a large population of Kurdish people are from the ancient Medes. the Kurdish word for Kurd is Kurmanj, which means son of megi. megi are the holly warriors of the zorowasrtian religion. the Badini dialect is believed to be descended from the ancient Medean language. the celebration of Nawroz is likely to be Kurdish as the Kurdish new year corresponds to the Medean victory over the assyrian empire. its likely the persians adopted it from them like they adopted everything from them

  • @TheScienceofnature I agree with most of what you said, im not Iranian and i like a brave guy like you to say the truth, some Kurds were naive enough to be fooled with the "Iranian" classification, Kurdistan is a more beautiful place than Persian Iran, it has beautiful nature vs. Persian sad dry brown mountains. i hope you the best, your Arab brother

  • @DhuNawwas its easy to make the mistake of thinking that Kurds are Iranian because the two have coexisted for such a long time. however the truth is more complicated than what is expected by common people. they find it very hard to believe that a single population within a single country can be the descendants of multiple backgrounds. or its much easier for politicians to impose a simple theory than a complicated one. Arabs of Iraq are different from Arabs of Algeria, but they will deny that

  • @TheScienceofnature Arabs of different parts of the Arab World are some what different by customs but not origin, they all come from Arabia. I think many Kurds are of Arab ancestry Kurdishized over time, and i think the history between Arabs and Kurds are much deeper and obvious than that of Kurds and Persian Ajams

  • @DhuNawwas no my friend, the original Arab tribes come from Saudi Arabia, the Arabian gulf in general. however the people of Algeria for example come from a different ancestry, one of their ancient tribe is the Barbar. they were present in the army of the Carthaginian king Hannibal. when the Islamic empire expanded towards them, they were gradually converted. even the Arabs of Iraq were originally of different ancestries. the city of Baghdad however was built entirely by the original Arab tribes

  • @DhuNawwas the people of Syria almost entirely have a European ancestry of Greeks and Italian origins. the province of Syria was a major Roman region and it was colonized by them. the name Syria comes from Assyria, one of the ancient people of Iraq and the main people who founded the Saracen culture, which was of non Arabic origin. but later on became widely recognized as the Islamic culture. the Islamic culture of Pakistan and India is Kurdish and Persian in origin as well.

  • @TheScienceofnature i guess you are trying to push the Kurdish origin idea on Arabs, but that isnt true for Arabs,, unlike the Kurds who came from different ancestry, Arabs are descendant of Abraham, Arabized groups are approx %1 of All Arabs, the rest are people of Abrahamic and Southern Arabian origin. there is no proof that Kurds are descendants of any ancient people, we are different we Semitic Arabs (Akkadians,Arameans, Assyrians, Babylonians) care so much for the origin, everyone knows it

  • @DhuNawwas there is absolutely no evidence what so ever suggesting any historical ties between Arabs and ancient Mesopotamians. Arabs are the descendants of the nomadic tribes of Arabia. Mesopotamian are another branch of people belonging to a completely different period of history. the only link between the ancient Mesopotamian and Arabs, if any exists is due to Arab migration into Iraq. Arabs appeared in history during no earlier than 900BC. they invaded Iraq defeating the sassanid Persians.

  • @TheScienceofnature So who were the Sabaeans? and how King David was visited by Queen of Sheba in 950 BC, who were the Dilmunians, who were the founders of Umm an-Nar, Ubaid , and Sabr cultures? all of which pre-dates Sumerians. Akkadians were a branch of Arabs that migrated to mesopotamia in late pre-historic times. all Semitic (Arab) languages are very closely related, and the Semitic race is alternatively called the Arab race, recently called "Arabid race". while Kurds are cocktail of people

  • @DhuNawwas Sabaeans were from places around modern day Yemen, they spoke an older version of the Arabic language. Dilmunians were from around modern day Bahrain, Umm an-Nar were from around Oman. you see non of these cultures existed outside the Arabian gulf. which was my point, Arabian people are descended from the Arabic tribes of the Arabian gulf. and it is true, Kurds are a multi ethnic people. originally however, they are part of the Asia minor civilizations, so are Medeans and Persians.

  • @DhuNawwas the Arabic culture is of nomadic people, its place of birth is Saudi Arabia. it was spread through conquest. due to the success of the Islamic ideology in the region, the integration of the people was very fast but short lived as other nomadic tribes attacked the region like Turks and Mongols. they gradually put end to the Islamic culture of Arabic dominance. Islamic culture came from Arabia, but other civilizations contributed greatly too. like Saracens, barber, Persians and Kurds

  • @DhuNawwas All i wanted to say is that the Iranians(And by Iranians i mean the descendents of those three tribes which are about 90 to 95 percent of Iran's population today) share more similarities than anyone can even imagine, Both ethnically and culturally.

  • @Alliranians8420 excuse me but i dont this classification is scientific, there are over 20 ethnicities classified as Iranian, it is because they ruled parts of today Iran, how did you judge that 95 percent are of those three distinct groups? give me which iranians today tracing their origin to either Medes or Parthians. I think Afghans are the true Parthians, Pashtun people are highly civilized and warlike just like Parthians. Parthians are of Bactrians stock

  • @DhuNawwas You know i've read some of your comments that you've left about Iranians on some other videos and i checked out your profile and i gotta say i saw nothing but your hatred towards Iranians which to be quite honest is not surprising because you're an Arab.

I don't wanna insult anyone and i don't wanna turn this conversation into a cursing debate

cause honestly i don't have the time to argue and nearly everyone knows what are the facts about Iranians and Arabs,So i'm just gonna...

  • @DhuNawwas answer your question about how the Iranian people are related to each other.

I'm a Kurd so i'm gonna start with my own people,The Kurds. The word "Kurd" is the Arabized form of an Iranian word,,,"Gord" (meaning brave) and that's because the Arabs can't pronounce the letter "G".The Median language had two major dialects,The northern median dialect aka The Azari language and the southern dialect which we know it as the Kurdish language today.Unfortunately the

    Azari language is now a...

  • @DhuNawwas dead language because of some historical events. The Kurdish language and the Persian language are almost the same, because they're from the same root(The Avestan language),the difference is just in the pronunciation.Another major Iranian ethnic group are the "Lurs".

I know them pretty well, They're living right next to us Kurds and their language is a dialect of the persian language. The "Gils" are another group of Iranian people who are living in the beautiful forests of north of ...

  • @DhuNawwas Iran and their language(Gilaki) is another dialect of the persian language and this goes with the other Iranian ethnic groups too.If a person knows how to speak one of these languages he can pretty much understand the others. This is how the Iranian people are related to each other. So that classification IS TRUE.

  • I am sorry to say many on youtube do not know History except for what they learn through Western Philosophy or historians with the same hate and propaganda campagnes like America does against Iran these days.. People like Herodotus or the publishers of the universities like stanford etc. created or controlled by zionistic influence will never reveal how great the Iranian Glory was.. Even with those nasty reducements made by them Iran is still great

    Zendebad Iran-o- Gharemanan Irani

  • Really odd how the Rome Total War engine managed to create two different series. This and the BBC time Commanders.

Somebody should take a look at the latest engine in the series because with all the improvements CA have made it could be quite a show.

  • @87Timbuktu

and Genghis Khan, the most bad ass of them all in my opinion

  • @ulongkoror

lmao at genghis, read some history books. he wasnt as "bad ass" as you are lead to believe.

  • Comment removed

  • @bradyischamp

lets see.he and his son Ogedai conquered,THE biggest land empire EVER in history.he led a small army of nomads, with hardly any technology, and destroyed the most advanced and richest cilvizations in the world:China,Russia and the muslim states. he spreaded education, trade and cilvization to his homeland of Mongolia. what else can you expect from any indivdual?what did ANYONE else in history did that Genghis did not?

  • @ulongkoror Gehengis Khan is the greatest conquerer the world has ever seen. He fought more battles then Alexander, he conquered more then Atilla and became more famous then Khalid Ibn Al Waleed or Cyrus The Great from Persia.

    Ghengis Khan FTW!

  • unfortunaly Armenia payed heavy price because they wanted to help romans, after defeating Romans Parthian attack and defeat Armenians

  • The Zaza people are descendants of the Parthians. I'm half Zaza, half Kurd and proud of my forefathers.

  • is that a captain america shield on the parthian commander at 7:01

  • ey this is the guy playing rufus in gossip girl XD

  • With the newest video game technology, get the view the generals wish they had, Decisive Battles! HELLZ YEAHHHHH!!

  • Roman=Italians??? that was why used to think about 8 years old

    Romans=Portuguese-Spanish-Frenchs-Italians-Romanians...

  • We Persians defeated Romans so badly

PEOPLE SUPPOSE TO GET ON THEIR KNEES IN FRONT OF PERSIANS

We have done so much for this world.

PERSIANS OR IRANIANS WERE , ARE AND WILL BE THE UNIQUE PEOPLE

  • great general surena, from the house of surena from sakastan, in the ancient drangiana! a pride for all the tajiks and persians of the world!

  • you nasty people..europeans like to diminish the Iranian glory. by this i mean the european philosophy.. they also do not understand the whole warrior tribal culture. Parthia a.k.a pahlav - pahlevan..they were iranian aryan tribe

    ACHAEMENIAN..PARTHIAN..SCYTHIAN..PERSIAN..KAYANIAN..SASSANIAN..ALAN

    ETCETERA

ARE ALL IRANIAN - ARYAN PEOPLE..AND ALWAYS WILL BE

  • fuckin faggots, say parthia but cant say persian, cause fuckin cant admitt that persians fucked kicked romans asses, as well as greek and egyptians, indians

  • @wolverine223 Sorry but Parthia IS Persia -__-

The population was mainly persians and they had Persian culture and religion. (Zoroastrianism forexample.)

I like Persia, and Parthia IS Persia. Just like Germany was called "Holy roman empire" in the middle ages, Persia was called "Parthia" at that time.

  • @VictumRoManius lol Parthia is not Persia. Parthia came from a completly diffrent part of asia. Parthia expanded into were Persia once had an empire but most the population was now Persia who have taken up Greek Gods. the land Parthia conquered were also populated by armenians pontics and other tribes. The Sassanids were the last persian inheratants

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR As i said, Parthia is Persia. they emerged from what today is called Turkmenistan and Iran.

If we use your way of thinking about england forexample, i can call you French.

It was Nromandie who conquered England so if Parthia is not Persian, England is French.

Does it sound right? Of course not.

Again Persia was PArthia and that is because they had the same culture, the same way of speaking, the same people and same religion as Persia.

  • @VictumRoManius England was conquered by many ppl's such as saxons romans and normans so call us what ya like lol. but parthia is not persia they are a completly diffrent tribe while there the same at some things. the parthians were a horse culture. persians were infantry heavy cavalry and chariots.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR As we begin to talk about culture:

Parthia had the same religion, almost the same people, the same language, the same way of clothing and the same way of fighting.

The Holy Roman Empire is German right? In the same way is Parthia, Persia... Just like Persia is Iran and north Afghanistan.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR And if Parthians are not Persians, what will you call them then?

Parthia emerged from todays Iran/Turkmenistan... Will you call them Turks just because they emerged from Turkmenistan and forget the facts that they had almost indentical culture as the PErsians?

Parthia is Persian and who ever who tries to split the history of great empires from non-european countries should think again, because the evidences has survived time itself.

  • @VictumRoManius Exactly. They pretty much just got a new name. Romans = Italians, Persians = Parthians.

  • @RogueRaven17 Roman is not synonymous with Italian and the Arsacid Dynasty was not Persian.

  • @VictumRoManius Also, the Normans were not Franks ;)

  • @VictumRoManius Actually English descended from the Anglo-Saxons (Modern day Germany and Dutch). Also the Normans weren't French, they were barbarian invaders from the north who captured Normandy.

  • @xMasterDanx The Norwegians captured Normandy and went as far as Paris. Later they left Paris and Normandy. They did not spend so much time in Normandy that they would form own families etc.

    Therefore Normandy was still French.

  • @VictumRoManius the wort Parthia is just the Roman version of the Greek word, Persia. which in turn is a Greek pronunciation of the original word which is Fars. it is possible that Greeks and Romans could not make the sound F, instead pronouncing it as P. the Parthian (or Persian) dynasty which ruled at the time of the Roman-Persian wars was the sassanid dynasty, they were from central modern day Iran, not Turkmenistan. the Khwarizmian dynasty who succeed them were from modern day Turkmenistan.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR Parthians are Persians(Iranian) lol I cant believe you just said that .. Please PLEASEE show me where its states otherwise...

  • @wolverine223 act the persians were beaten many times by the romans and they were called Sassanids not persians at the time rome and persia met in battle. the persians build a fast army and marched to Dara a roman duches city. the Persians were beaten by old little numberd and unwealthy romans Gaurdin the city.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR I see that your one of those only speculating about Persian defeats and ignoring their victories and their influence on this world.. Well continue with that.. But if you want to be a good historican you should, as Polybius said, not let your own thoughts controll your writings.

  • @VictumRoManius i havnt learned about Persian history yet i learn greek and Roman. and yes the macedonians who were greek did fight and conquer the persians and also the greeks fought the persians but persia just doesnt impress me eithe if they did conquer a great empire well Cyrus conquered it.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR That is very negative against the persians.. Alexander conquered Persia, Koorush conquered the huge Medea empire. In addition was Persia one of the worlds first multi cultural empire. It was extremly hard to control a multi cultural empire at that time, but Koorush and the Persians succeed.

In addition: Persians at the time of Koorush where the best warriors in the world. At Darius III time the persians had become weaker and not nearly as good as their ancestors.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR apparantly you do not know shit about Iran..

Iranians the first to domesticate the horse..see nisean (chargers) horse...Warhorse described by greeks and chinese as the heavenly horse.. see Cataphract...Iranians the first knights of the world...with gold and bronze outfits.. the game Assassins Creed based on Alamut ancient iranian assassins.. first assassins called by nietzshe as truly free spirits..The horse culture is an iranian culture

    I WOULD SAY IRANIANS..FUCKING COOL

  • @BEYADEHVATAN it was Armenia who had cataphracts first.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

No they didnt... The Persians were the first ones to use Heavily armoured cavalry, which they later called Cataphracts and Clibanarii. They were first used by the Parthian and Sassanid dynasty of Persia, the oldest known evidence of the cataphracts lies in a relief located in Iran/Persia, look upp ''Taq-e Bostan'' in google.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

Listen you homo, in time of Parthians there wasn't a land called Turkimenistam. it was Sakastan ( Iranian aryan tribes) which Parthians came from those people. How about you shut the fuck up and see the video to at least get an abstract of Iranian civilization

  • @TheKourosh1990 Lisson gayboy ur blocked :)

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

when you know nothing about a something , please stay quite you loser

  • @TheKourosh1990 M8 im smart as fuck on Greek and Macedonian Ancient History. i could easly answer more questions then you. and your so wrong Persia wasnt the first tribe 2 use Heavy Cav lasttime i checked Egypt was usin Heavy Cav and Chariots were using them way before persia. before persia eithen came out of the mountains Egypt was building a kingdom with its Infantry, archer and cavalry army

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

ahah really ! you do have expertise on history of Macedon, But this is Between Romans and Persians. Big fail!

The first heavy Calvary was used by Sassanian , which later European Knights were based on that. Right after hundred years after conquest of Egypt by Persians. Egyptians were the most crucial people which after Persian conquered them, They turned more human beings you idiot moron

  • @TheKourosh1990 The Sassanids didnt merge in asia minor unill the romans had there whole army. Egypt used Heavy Cavalry in the hithight days.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR i replied to your comment, because i can't stand the ignorant people like you who just talking so nonsense about their illusion minded history. You have no evidance to prove it while this video is a just a small proof of what im claiming on. Egypt didn't have well trained army and no wonder Camyayes ( King of Persia) defeated them within days. look up! Sassaninas have had the mnost well its trained Calvaries and infantries

  • @TheKourosh1990

Persians came from Iran, unlike Egypt came from dust

get a life , you know nothing and you are wasting my time

  • @TheKourosh1990 No m8 your wasting my time your the 1 who replys 2 me for no reason u think ur so smart. answer This bitch Who was Pyrrhus and Who Was Miltiades and how many Troops where at the battle of Marathon on the greek side.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

Listen you manican , i like how you idiot pathetic people get owned by Persian civilizaiton, mentioning to the battle of Greco-Persia thereafter! lol

Do you know who the Arion bazaran was ? no so shut up! He was the man who defeated the alexander army with only hundred Calvary people while on Alexander had the most advanced infantries which the numbered exceed to 1400 but he defeated them

  • @TheKourosh1990 you can win the battle but lose the war.

  • @CyborgNinja11

    what war are you mentioning?

If you mean Roman- Persian Wars , i guaranty that Persians won the war which they too back the Armenia and Syria as their part of its territories

so study up my dear friend

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR

he problem in here is, you are suffering its lack of educational

its never late to study up

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR ahh yeah the macedonians conquered the persians who did u think Alexander the great was???

  • @endoftheworld2014 I No who Alexander is im a massive fan of Ancient greek and macedon history.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR so u know that the macedonians conqured persia???

  • @endoftheworld2014 Yes lol. Philip II of Macedon Created the Macedonian Army to conquer Persia. but he died before he could begin. so Alexander Became King of Macedon and Conquered the persian empire he also tryed 2 conquer India but the indian tribes put aside there wars and merged together and formed a army of 250.000 so Alexanders men didnt want 2 fight anhymore. Alexander returned 2 Babylon and died there. he was buried in egypt. and his Empire was Split into diffrent Kingdoms

  • @endoftheworld2014 Kingdoms and Empires such as. Seleucid Empire,Ptolemaios Empire,Antigonos Empire,Lysimachos Kingdom,Kassandros(Normal Macedonian Lands)Kingdom,Bactria(The Owner of Bactria took his chance and formed his own kingdom. there was a few city states but they had very little power. Pontus was also created but it wasnt by a Succeser. but it did use the macedonian culture.

  • @SulFuriiCxDzyR Jews share common ancestry with the ancient Phoenicians, who were settlers of modern day Libya and Tunisia. they were different branches of the same civilization. its possible that ancient Mesopotamian could also be regarded as northern Semitic people. that however is my conclusion. i do not know if the ancient Mesopotamian people, such as Babylonians, Assyrians and Akkadians are categorized differently. modern Jews of Israel however are Germans and Polish lol. not Semitic people

  • @TheScienceofnatre modern Jews are the trash of the world unfortunately settled by the West here in the heart of the Arab world, neither Germans nor Russians or any other nation welcomes them, they belong to their land of origin (Georgia) where the natives converted to Judism in the 16th century then spread to Europe are Russia, the day they all burn and shatter is near i can see it, with brave Arab men nothing is impossible, this Israel is going with the wind.. ancient Jews have vanished by now

  • @DhuNawwas This is my last comment on this video 'cause frankly these kinda conversations are exhausting, especially with Arabs.

Yes there is nothing Arab about the Kurds,Because we don't look like you,We don't speak the way you do,We have a different culture and we're

from a different descent.About the words that you mentioned,Here are the Iranian synonyms:

(the first ones are kurdish and the second ones are persian),Bale=Are,Arii_Javab=Posekh,Pasokh_Ketab=partok or nesak,nosk...etc.Just...

  • @DhuNawwas give me

the word and i'll give you both the Kurdish and the Persian synonyms. You think i'm being naive just because i consider myself as an Iranian?

The word "Gord" aka Kurd is carved in multiple inscriptions in Iran and those inscriptions are over 5000 years old.The Kurds are the oldest

people in the Iranian plateau and they just simply handed over their empire to their cousins,The Persians. That's enough evidence for me to

    consider myself as an Iranian.

  • @DhuNawwas The Persians call the kurds khar? LOL,Give me a break, you're don't even know a thing about the Iranian society and yet you're judging it,The Persians never insulted the Kurds and they never will and i know it because i live in Iran and i know my people really well.

One more thing,The Kurds belong to the Arabic sphere and they have Arab ancestry?ROTF,Like i said There is nothing Arab about the Kurds, cause we don't look like them,we don't speak like them and We have our own culture...

  • @DhuNawwas and language. The Arabs are out of the Arabic peninsula for only 14 centuries but the Kurds are over 50 centuries old,So what you said is absolutely not true. And please stop saying that the Kurds belong to the Arab sphere, You're insulting me!

  • @Alliranians8420 no one said that Kurds are in the Arab sphere, people who are in the Arab sphere are so developed and intelligent, many people from East Africa to Singapore have Arabic heritage. Iraqi people only recently (in the 20th century) knew about Kurds, the Kurds had no home before, only came recently with their cattle to Iraq, Iraqis and Syrians are astonished of how those Kurds arrived there. Arabs only recently came in contact with the nomadic Persians (Kurds)

  • @Alliranians8420 Kurds cannot prove that they existed anywhere in the planet before 900 AD where their first mention occurred in the Arab sources, Kurds claim multiple ancestries: Median, Mittani, Hurrian, Khaldi,.... the word Kurd wasn't mentioned not even once in any historical source,.... people are astonished how suddenly numerous strangers who call themselves Kurds descended from mountains claiming that they belong to here! how did they arrived, where from they came!, no one knows!

  • @Alliranians8420 Iraqi people call Kurds (zmal=khar) also Turks call them esek=khar also, i dont know why they think Kurds are donkeys, i find kurds to be nice and peaceful yet they frequently targeted by jokes, man we do not know where from the kurds came, or how suddenly the resided here, the earliest kurds to arrive is in the late 19th century, yet the wave of Kurds only came in early 20th century due to poverty in their homeland in the rugged ruff Iranian mountains,,
