3D is no longer a "gimmick", so it's new in that sense. These new 3D movies from Hollywood are being presented as genuine wide releases - that's the change that's happening here.

the dark knight is a mediocore film. Without Ledger it be pretty bad. The plot sucks, bale is really bad. Bale's voice is so annoying and forced. They killed off 2 face but i bet he will not be dead, which if he is alive would be gay.

Hmm, well, I think Kevin James won the weekend because audiences really love comedies. Light-heartedness always carries the day at the movies.

As for Defiance, I'm sorry to say there might be just too many Holocaust movies these days and people need a break. Valkyrie, The Reader and Good are also about World War II. These films always come out at the same time because they are competing for awards, but they're also cannibalizing each other.

I also think Daniel Craig, outside of Bond, isn't a box office draw. And Liev Schrieber is box office poison. Let's hope he doesn't hurt Wolverine! :(

It's utterly absurd what Hollywood's doing with all these World War II movies. Yawn.... Not A One seemed to be any good. I think they've released about 6 WWII-related movies in the past two months. There's also Miracle at St. Anna. On top of this circus, Brad Pitt's also going to be in a WWII-related movie later this year... More yawns from me. It's all f'ing b.s. if you ask me. Given all the stories, perspectives, characters not yet on the big screen, it's a joke. I spit on all those movies.

I guess people are that hard-up for a comedy, even a lame-brain one. But that doesn't surprise me. While, overall, people's taste in movies has elevated some (that's a big SOME), there still seems to be more idiots out there, who will spend their money on dumb, predictable, recycled piles of cliched crap. And so, that gives Hollyhell the sign that they need to make more crap. I'm not saying they need to watch the snooty crap that the Academy loves, but at least not something so lame.
