@nitro300I agree!!! There is so much Spanish influence in Trinidad, and I believe that it is seriously taken for granted. I travelled to Spain a few years ago, and Rota reminded me of being in certain parts of Port-of-Spain; the buildings and architecture had such striking similarities!!!

I literally have tears in my eyes... this is so beautiful. It takes me right back to my childhood days in Trinidad. I still remember when Valencia was still a "village" and friends would roam the village at Christmastime "paranging"... or andando de parranda.

Yes quite a bit of parang music is in spanish. A lot of the descendants of Trinidad came from Venezuela, which is only nine miles from Cedros, Trinidad.
