I like the rough, raggedy sound of the snes version. Its more percussion-driven than the arcade. And the Genesis version sounds like ass!

The SNES version sounds like it's coming in over speakers that have been blown out,repaired with string and tin cans,and then placed underwater. Listening to it should be a punishment reserved for prisoners on death row.
