I think he wrote a hit because he was an original member of Duran Duran and wanted to be as succesful as them. He probably quit because he though they werent going to be successful. Great song. This is my parents song.

I have the original 7 inch which was out in 1983, slightly different to this one - a better version though than this one, he also released a U.S.remix 12 inch in 1983 which is still a good version too. From Julia in UK.

Oooh glad to finally found out who did this song. I have a different version on cassette tape that I randomly got from the radio in 85 or 86 and always wondered who it is. It is a far more airy version of this song and I prefer it. Wish I could find it.. perhaps a remix.
