at 1:28, isnt that on colden?? i have a few pictures myself on that rock. wow, ispent a few whole summers up there, and i could name almost everymountain I saw, i feel so bad i havent been back this whole summer! i miss it. it is soo beautiful. I was at a backpacking camp that my uncle ran and we were in the woods everyday. I love it and seeing this reminds me of how much I enjoyed it. thank you!
Yes I did go up Colden if I go back I'll make a better slideshow, I had to make this so short because at the time youtube only allowed 100mb per upload lol
Awesome. Where abouts is the adirondack mountains? it looks a lot like western Alberta. Cool place. hey! I should post a slideshow of my trip to Alberta!
LOL I'm a total hick.. I'm from the prairies, and I've only seen mountains a few times in real life, so the only "mountain" I've ever seen is a ski-hill called "blackstrap mountain", which is litterally a huge pile of garbage covered in dirt
they are nice, but come out west AZ,CO,UT,CA, and 95% of the Adirondacks will be reduced to hills. The scenery out west is unmatched anywhere. Come take a look sometime.
i agree! the west is the best. nothing compares to the vast openess of the rockies, cascades, sierras, or the brooks and alaska range. but the adirondacks still are nice... plenty of waterfalls and lakes. nice swimming there
@akmozart I'd have to say, if I left the Adirondacks, it would be to visit the rockies, alaska, or somewhere in the western wilderness. Adirondacks are special to me though, they're home.
What makes the Adirondacks unique is the water....glacial lakes are everywhere. Creeks and streams all over the place and waterfalls as well. It is entirely possible to canoe for weeks without ever having to portage more than a mile. The high peaks out west are indeed spectacular but they lack the pristine beauty of all the natural lakes in the Adirondacks. The Adirondack Park is Americas largest state park, 6 million acres of public and private land that is protected.
nice pictures post some more!

Agreed. My favorite area is near Speculator. Those lakes are beautiful. One of my favorite places in the world.
