This is STUNNING!! Most likely there isn't any 'Big Brother' being reported to with the news. Very possibly it is a just a religious wing or party to the government that pushed for this ad campaign which is mostly a voice with no body.
Intermarriage obviously does weaken the Jewish people overall as a community since the couple's offspring and their offspring do usually fade away overtime. However, I do fully understand why most American secular Jewish men do not want to marry American secular Jewish women.

Religion is the biggest threat to humanity. Nationalism and tribalism can be more easily combatted. But when one tribe thinks they have the objective truth about the universe and the secrets to universal morality, they are only going to cause trouble in the world. We are the SAME SPECIES. What's wrong with encouraging our people to think for a moment about the course of their lives? Our children inherit that which we teach them: it behooves us to marry someone who shares our background, beliefs, and lifestyle. That's not racist, it's realistic. "Race" is a matter of genetics. Belief goes deeper than that. Belief is the foundation of who we are as humans. It doesn't get much more fundamental and important than belief.

@marmavrik Yes, racism (a.k.a bias towards ones own tribe/ethnicity) is a perfectly natural impulse shared by most human beings. While, we're obviously disposed to favouring people like us, it is DECONSTRUCTIVE in terms of empathy towards other human beings and It needs to be defeated. I wish you could see that if it's impermissible for say a black person can't marry a white person, it's impermissible to say a Jew can't marry a non-Jew. Nationalism, racism, tribalism kills basic HUMANITY.
