  • gd havent heard this in forever

  • lmao i havent heard thin years this take me way back lennox ave stand up

  • SHIT IS DOPE !!!!!

  • Diamond D's production skills were off tha hook. That Alkaholiks joint he did is fire!

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper but you've got to admit they are funny

  • Sally played pac's girlfriend in above the rim .

  • I know a couple sallys and keishas to.

  • how come he says she was spoiled rotten and her parents had money, but then he says pretty young thing growin up in the projects

  • @groalerable Back in the day, the projects were where working class families lived, too (especially in Forrest Houses in the Bx. where this video was shot). It was a different era. Diamond D knows what he's talking about. In the 60's and 70's people raised families before drug epidemics and guns hit town and lived in relative comfort.

  • @harlembrown3

mm..ok..i didnt really bother me anyway i don't really listen to diamond d for the lyrics lol

  • I know a Sally like that =D

  • stray away

  • Kind a sounds like DWYCK

it even has the same break

  • @FuckThePolize They dropped the same year. A lot of beats during this time sounded either like this, or had that jazzy feel of a Pete Rock or Ali Shaheed production. Height of the golden age, baby ... 1992 and 1993. The VERY best hip hop ever had to offer, indeed.

  • LOVE !! THIS

  • 2 many "sallies" n wonnabes, bt less real storytellas like diamond d. I guess the time is different now.

  • as I already said before... I love this story

    Diamond D at his best

  • a real classic! still a favourite... just luv it!

  • 20 years old and still an anthem for the chicks out here boi

  • reminds me of "brenda's got a baby"

  • sally looks like she could be lauren londons older sister

  • @TheKidstarj - Or they're names Sally.

  • C L A S S I C!!!

  • Hip Hop/Storytelling: I miss you :'(

  • year i was born .....fucking dope

  • how can anyone dislike that ?

  • Still as fresh as a daisy!! - I MISS THE 90s

  • Saw Diamond D at Homebase in NYC in like '92 or '93. This album was so dope and so was his second one. Diamond made real beats

  • 1 of the best albums ever

  • what was that girl name?

  • @mecca1000 Sally.....and was hot too!

  • This bass-line along with Diamond D's slick lyrics gives me the chills... the good kind!

  • j'adore.......real hip hop

  • j'adore.......real hip hop

  • the 90z hip hop was the golden age of beat making!!!!!!!!!the era set so many standards!!!!

  • Almost 20 years later, this classic album is still in print- which is shocking considering that Mercury Records has A LOT of classic hip hop albums out of print- save for the debut albums of Kurtis Blow and Black Sheep!!!

  • Classic to da doooome. Real people talking about real issues. A hip hop inspiration.

  • seriously goddamn i wish shit was still like this

  • Sally Got a One Track Mind (сo0l)

  • so, which one is it? first he said her parents were rich and she was spoiled...then near the end of the song he said she was a "pretty little thing growing up in the projects"...which one is it, Diamond?

  • @radchik The girl is interchangeable meaning she represents more than one girl. You should really learn poetry.

  • YEaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. True Skool

  • True classic ... i was inspired to do a remake of this song called "Keisha" a modern day take of this classic ..i hope you all enjoy it ..the top song on my favorites list or type in "Stress Kiesha"

  • Wow!!! Bass line is incredible!!! Love this cat!!!

  • One of my favorite songs...wow i forgot about this one

  • Wally got a one track mind

It doesn't matter if it's yours or mine

'Cause if ya gettin doe and ya wanna get wit him

    Yeah, YOU CAN HIT HIM!!!

  • @segan25 hit him??? no, it's: you can hit HER!

  • @6t4eldo

i was talking about wally, a completely different person then sally

its from a song by female emcee diamond dianna

    google that now

  • @segan25 ok. i'll mind my beeswax from now on!!!

  • @orkid682 i guess im to much of a daydreamer, i just like being presented a solution rather than getting the full frontal of reality. Describing reality is important but doesnt give hope for a better future. In my view social realism belongs in journalism not art.

And also often when i used cannabis i got bad experiences from listening to hiphop with a message, so maybe i got an aversion from that? Its just too much for me to handle really.

  • @msnywoman23

no Argument here from me...u never know what any celeb/artist/talent is capable of when nobody lookin...ofcourse just because they make a hot project it doesnt make them capable of bein bout what they preach...and im sure when sally passed tha p***y 2 him he took it like everyone else...

  • @orkid682 YES SIR! IT IS WHAT IT IS! U KNW ITZ A SCANDOLAZ WORLD! SALLY HAD THE MEANS TO MAKE IT UP OTTA THEA, INSTEAD SHE SCHEMED ON THE BROTHERZ... LISTEN TO THE LYRICS AGAIN MAYBE SMOKE A BLUNT FIRST,KICK OFF YA SHOEZ RELAX AND HEED THE LYRICS OF THE STORY. DIAMOND REFERZ TO THEM AZ STUNTS COS THATS WHAT THEY DO.LOL ANYWHOW YOU RIGHT SHE HAS NO SELF WORTH AND HER WORLD CRUMBLES COS OF THAT.. MAN I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO HARLEM/UPTOWN SOMEDAY..CHK OUT APOLLO =) N MAYB I'LL SEE SALLY HEHEHE

  • DAMN I KNOW A FEW SALLYS...SMH....I GUESS STILL NUTTIN MOVES

  • @thasy2n8

you know what. i bet he would and probably has taken advantage of a sally. who think some1 of these people who rap about certain things like this would do the opposite of what they rap about . but i can bet he is like one of those nasty men in that video taking advantage of poor sally.

  • @msnywoman23 If you listen and watch the video Sally is the one taking advantage of the men by pulling the stunt to advance her self, which is why she is called a stunt. Women are not always the victim, there are men and women who both do ill things to one another. You are trying to make Sally which in this song is about more than one girl a victim of her own doing.

  • @esamuels35

uhm she is the victim.point blank. ure a joke talking about about she takes advantage of these men, that sounded so dumb .

  • @msnywoman23 Hey little girl let me drop some knowledge on you before calling me dumb. First off in this song she is not the victim but the one playing the guys. Yes Sally is a victim, but of lack of education and self respect and a never ending cycle that is present in these communities. Sally is a victim of circumstance, not by the men that yes she is using and they are using her. This is a common problem in poor communities people use each other to advance and not resources.

  • @esamuels35 beautifully said

  • @msnywoman23 Some issues are not about men vs. women, but about the poor and underprivileged taking advantage of each other. Your are playing into the never ending cycle of someone has to be the victim and someone has to be at fault. All the people in Sally's life are all victims of some social and economic issues present in America. By simplifying the complex problems of all humans your are being divisive and with that mentality men will always be against women.

  • classic!!

  • anyone know where i can download this version from? thanks

  • Love the song, but hate to see what black females have to go thru while

    living in amerikkka.

How black men try to play pimp and be like slavemaster.

The same thing that slavemaster did to the slave women on the plantation.

Now,we have all these sorry so-called pimps following in the same footsteps.

Really, the pimp is slavemaster and the joke is black men who think they pimping.

might be pimping some foodstamps and being pimped by crack now
