Read the instructions. Thats actually not the right way to open a Rifa. You should push the lamp cage in from the front, not pull the cord from the back. (Lowel warns against this) It may be what caused the strain relief to break off & expose the wire under the insulation, which is clearly visible at the end of the stem in your demo. Kudos for putting it on the stand with the locking lever on the left side, a lot of people get that part wrong and that can cause the light to droop forward.
