@fernandesfran Hi :) It would be quite cold in November I think. The temperature tends to drop around that time of year, but this would be an amazing time to go! The lake freezes over and you can stand on it.
I took a train and bus there. There should be plenty of sleeper trains (hard or soft) going from Beijing.
Ah that's nothing! I travelled via train from Dalian to Nanning to cross into Vietnam border. For really long journeys I definitely suggest the soft sleeper! A bit more privacy and a more comfy bed!
Actually chanbai shan should be Changbai Shan which is what the Chinese call it but it's the same mountain as Baek du san which is the Korean name. Since the majority of people living around the mountain speak Korean, they prefer foreigners to call it by it's Korean name. But that's all very trivial and not worth arguing about. There is a fantastic waterfall on the north side of the mountain that pours from the crater lake. Also a lot of great Korean food around there. Love this place!!!
In english it's called "Crater Lake".

Marvelous! Is it possible to fly from Beijing to a nearby Airport? What would the weather be like in mid-November? Thanks!

Fantabulous
Whats with the head to toe ArmyCombats? You must have been practising eye toy to have dance moves like that!
Although the sleeper train looks ever so slightly like a mobile prison.
