u r wrong. macedonia is the name used for the northern part of greece since philip the second. philips great great grandfather participated in the olympic games which was a greek event. the writings in royal macedonian tomb in vergina is written in greek. ur country is located at the ancient part of paionia, not macedonia. alexandros conquered paionia as he also did to egypt. it doesnt mean that egypitians have to be named macedonians. its the same thing. alexandros's teacher was aristotle

alexandros is also a greek name coming from the two terms ΑΛΕΞΩ+ΑΝΔΡΑΣ (alexo+andras). ur country never had anything to do with ancient macedonia. i think u should revise ur sources. read some international historians, not skopjan history books taught in ur schools. they are misinterpreted. we got macedonia back after the second balkan war indeed. but it was ours since ever, we had been conquered by the turks in case u dont know and we gradually got some of the parts we own back

and turks still own the parts of the coast of asia minor that we used to own. asia minor contained greek cities of smyrni, militos, alikarnassos with a lot of ancient greek sites there. nowadays we cant go and take those sites any more, its been too long. but when we got macedonia back it was just as greec had gained its freedom and started to develop once again. an example of macedonians are thessaloniki citizens. if u dont trust me read wikipedia about alexander the great.

and also, read wikipedia's article about the ancient macedonian kingdom. its a trusted source, it isnt greeks who have wrote it. look at where the kingdom was located (around thessaloniki) and it gradually got larger until it overpowered the kingdom of athina and the kingdom of sparti. the ancient word makednos was greek. all the kings were greek from 800 b.c, so this proves that macedonia was actually greek since then. maybe u should think before u write, not me. remember, its all in history...

@makedonistoi first of all, if you compare macedonians AND greeks you are already wrong... macedonians are greek, peloponnisians are greek, cycladites are greek, cretans are greek etc. its like comparing newyorkers and americans if you understand what i mean... skopje has its own culture and is well respected, but it is not macedonian, maybe it got influenced by ancient macedonians, but that doesnt make it macedonian.
