I love the feeling of protection when a brother helps me out and calls me Sweetheart or Babygirl and asks me if "I'm good" .. I love how my male cousins will drive 2 hours and endure traffic JUST TO HELP me move out my storage or to bring my DOG to me. That is love.

Decimator334, You are picking the glaring examples and quite frankly the exceptions to the norm, and trying to say that we all do it. You will always have your Seals, Taye Diggs and Tiger Woods and all other manner of Black men who go for other races. But they are not the norm.
And you're right, we don't 'like' Black women. We 'like' white women, we 'like' Asian women...but we don't 'like' Black women...we LOVE Black women.

Actually Blade it is the norm for SUCCESSFUL( Rappers, NBA players) to date White women. That is the norm amongst successful black American males.
it just goes to show that when Black men do get a chance to date outside their race they always go for non-black women, usually White women.

confidence? i find them insecure and self-conscious with their prefabricated walk and follow the leader way of talking. their look-at-me bling. needing attention and needing a black woman to take care of you and being conscious of your walk isn't confident. it's insecure. it's a phony masculinity. he's too scared and insecure to do things other races would do (certain sports, ballroom dancing). most aren't versatile. they like same sports (basketball) and same music.

Trust me, I'm not settling at all. I don't even deal with stereotypical Black men. I've been blessed to meet ambitious, intelligent, secure, and loving Black men throughout my dating experiences. I had the cream of the crop, all I had to do was pick the one I wanted. I chose him and now I'm simply loving him and letting him love me
