The jailbreak works. Whenever you download and reboot springboard (or reboot your phone), the apple will show on your screen. Next you must connect to the computer and go through the second half of redsn0w in this video (this video: 3:15 - 4:08). It ma take couple of tries if you don't time everything well.

@blackdexter11 You need to follow the original steps again. Start redsnOw, browse for the firmware and select just book tethered right now. This will fix it. And, you may need to do that a few times when you are installing Cydia apps that require a restart.

I would say most ppl are installing the Installous app, bigU Movies app, SBSettings, Winterboard & Pkgbackup app from Cydia atm. Hope this helps get you started.
