  • this place looks like me young arse in the morning.

  • I come from salisbury, it will always have a place in my heart. Peaceful, hardly anthing bad happens that at all. Left a year ago, but still visit when i can. Moved to swindon.

  • it sure looks like a nice place!

  • Now live in salisbury again.

  • Salisbury is a great place to live. Crime is low, it has the odd problme, where hasn't however compared to the rest of Wiltshire towns it stands head and shoulders above them. It is extremely safe; could be worst try Trowbridge, Swindon, Calne, aweful places to live

  • i was born in salisbury in 1996 and im thinking of moving back there in a couple of years, i currently stay in fife scotland but prefer england much more as im always gettin made fun of because of my southern accent, is salisbury still a good place to live?

  • Yeaaaah Salisbury is Awsome !!

  • AHAHAHA im dumb, i almost thought this was salisbury in U.S. thats were i live. like salisbury n.c. im dumb. lol sorry everybody!

  • @MichaelLowman5371 There ARE a lot of Salisburys in the world....

  • I think everyone should get a life and stop complaining! Salisbury may be a small city, but has many glorious open spaces. Maybe if some kids werent lazy they would go out and PLAY instead of having arcades or going and graffiting the place.

  • live their... very boring, terrible shops

  • @will98789 If you've nothing to do, maybe you'd like to learn to spell.

  • @vermillion303 its hardly bad spelling, its just poor grammar..

  • I am moving there next month from bournemouth. I cant wait! bournemouth is so commercial now ans salisbury still has "olde" charm :)

  • i live there excactly in that area and people say its bad but its not and its got loads of great shops

  • These comments are horrible. I travelled miles to visit salisbury to go to the solstice and I found it a warm friendly city.

I can't wait to visit again. I would love to live there.

  • I used to visit Salisbury to see family about 10 years ago. Most of the time it's a great city, but from what I understand there is now a problem with drugs and people drinking in public and being a nuisance. When I used to visit, Friday and Saturday nights were bad because the soldiers from the surrounding army camps would come into town and go drinking; it would usually all kick -off and there would be trouble. Lovely looking town though, the cathedral is great....

  • I am thinking of moving there with my teenagers, but these comments have me confused, I was under the impression that Salisbury had low crime levels and high safety records which lets face it nowdays is the most important issue with kids in mind.

  • Well, keep in mind that the problems I have heard about anti-social behavior/ drink problems are pretty much in every UK city these days, but as Salisbury has high unemployment compared to other cities, there's not much for kids to do. Your teenagers might find Salisbury a bit boring if you are moving from a larger city, but don't let that put you off. It is very beautiful, with friendly people! If you need any more info, message me!

  • sum 1 got a bit to excited lmao i liff in salisbury nd its so boring nd has hardly any shops and only 2 alternitive cloths shops

  • omg I live in Salisbury! I'm going down there tomorrow to visit my Dad! This is the one in England right? :S

  • is this in England or the USA? i live in Salisbury in the USA

  • this is the one in Wiltshire, UK

  • oh it looks alot like the US one lol =]

  • ahh ive never seen salisbury in the USA =], Cool might have to visit salisbury in usa

  • it's cool cause all the buildings have like a long histroy behind them and none have been torn down =] most of the buildings have been renovated but most are still their old selfs.

  • ledge man! i live in salisbury too! in the UK though!

  • I spend 3 months of my life there to learn english last summer

    jujuba

  • i live there shut up its kl lol xoxoxoox

  • i love salisbury, you make a place boring!

  • Well done for making Salibury a boring place! How long did it take you to get it as boring as it is? There must be entire teams working on the project.

  • Like I say, don't run it down, make it better. Anyone can moan. Anyone can move to a bigger city as soon as they leave home. It takes real guts and determination to stay in a small city and make it interesting. Places get dull because people keep leaving. Salisbury is no better or worse than any other small city - go to any other small city and people will moan about it just as much. Get off your ass and make Salisbury interesting! Stop being so bloody apathetic.

  • I'd disagree. The fact it takes "real guts and determination" to stay in Salisbury should tell you something about the place itself. I left years ago, it takes guts and determination to try something new, the act of sitting on your ares doesn't. Salisbury, as Lilyhorizon correctly put it below, is a shithole.

  • Lived in Salisbury for a year and I have to agree with Kevo and lilyhorizon. It is a shithole, and staying in a dull town does not take guts or determination; on the contrary, a lack of guts and determination is what causes so many people to stay in shite towns like Salisbury.

  • ...It's actually quite an intimidating place too. I moved to Hackney and go out in London all the time. I'd never swap the openminded attidtude of London for that of small minded Salisbury. Everyone, leave before you die!!!

  • Yup, it's one of those towns that has that real conservative, anti-cosmopolitan feel about it; fine if you like that type of thing, but certainly not gutsy to stay there if you don't. Funnily enough, I lived in London too (amazing place, miss it so much!), Brixton in fact (which many Salisbury friends gasped at when I told them, as if it's the ghetto of the universe) and it was sooo much nicer, and like you said, open minded!

  • haha i love the way you say get off your ass like it's us that need to do something about it, go ask the bloody council more like. Salisbury is a boring city, it's too medieval and old and needs refurbishing end of.

  • I wouldn't wait for the council to change anything, you'll be dead before things change. It is up to you, because it's your life. But if you like it there it's like to said, end of...

  • I live in Salisbury too, and while some aspects of it are frustrating (lack of decent nightlife and things for young people to do), it is a beautiful city with many fine old buildings, great history, and a good music and arts scene.

Big Up Salisbury! Don't run it down, make it better!

  • ahahaha i wish...it IS the most dulest place everrr

  • haha i live here and its a shithole
