  • REALLY FAST and excellent playing..:))

1 question for you--on the last pg, on the bass/pedal, the quaver notes of (F C F G A Bb C D ), do u play it with PEDALs or the Left hand?

what will be the recommended playing??

    many many thanks

  • Hi! I play that measure with just the left hand. Thanks for your compliments!!!

  • @paulbinko thank you for replyint me too...u r really good..thats the fact...esp when u can play this piece SO FASTTT.....zoomzoom like a ferrari car..eheheh

and wat note(s) does your pedal play at that part?? F note hold thru out the bar??

  • @paulbinko and @ewokmusic That's interesting because I play it with pedals. It's hard to decide I suppose when it's written on two staves.

  • Great performance - just played this for our Easter Postlude last week. You need a Zimbelstern or "Cloches" for the last two lines though ... :) Nice instrument too - huge sound for a two manual - nice reeds.

  • 9 Ranks! INCREDIBLE! Is this the Shrine on Paca and Saratoga Streets in the heart of downtown Baltimore? The only music I ever heard there was that St. Jude Novina tune in g major that they chant. Outstanding playing by Mr. Binko of course.

  • what organ is this?? 32 reed in a 2 manual organ? omg

  • This is a great piece, played great! The organ sounds so big.

  • I'm sure there should be more staccato during the middle section.

  • WELL PLAYED!!

    SOLID!!! from singapore

  • I'm also suprised that this organ (2 manuals) has a 32' reed. Not even our parish church organ (3 manuals) has a 32' reed.

  • YAY! Carillon de Longpont!

  • Nice!! I really like it. I just have a quick question though, on like the first page, I saw you playing something with your left hand. Were you playing the same chords in the right hand?

  • Hi - my organ teacher, who studied with many French organists told me to double the chords, as much as possible, with the left hand. It works well.

  • Lovely playing. Remember, this is from Vierne's 'Pieces en stile libre' - written for competent plays but on small instruments (even harmonia). Small instruments can definitely do it justice!

  • whys everyone playing the cords with 2 hands....i find it much more easy and practical to use one hand

  • Well a lot of others find it more easy and practical to use 2 hands.

  • Excellent playing, i just played this piece quite recently for Sung Eucharist at my school

I find this organ very interesting and i would appreciate it if you would post the swell and great specifications(including couplers) for me to see (ive got the pedal specs from another videos comments)

    Regards

  • @paulbinko that's an interesting registration. lots of schalmeis...

    fine playing, thanks! :)

  • This is great! I really enjoyed this. I'm just beginning to learn this piece now, so it was nice to hear what it is supposed to sound like. :-)

  • Great playing! Have you ever heard this with handbells? It's really awesome. Thanks for a great video.

  • How/where did you hear this with handbells? Might be interested in getting the music for the handbell choir at our church! Bet it is awesome!

  • How/where can I get handbell music for this? Would love to purchase it for my church to play! Never heard it played on handbells - bet it is awesome!

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I think Fred Graman (sp?) wrote an arrangement that I did with the Virginia Handbell Consort about 10 years ago. We did it with Petit & Fritzen bells (Dutch-with a sound similar to carillon bells-minor 3rd in the overtones) and it was really lovely. I'll try to contact the VHC within then next week and see what I can find out. It really is awesome on bells, and if memory serves me well, it was an excellent arrangement. You could try Jeffers Handbell Supply for the music.

  • Many thanks for the info! I will definitely try Jeffers Handbell Supply for the music, but do keep me posted if you find out any more info from VHC.

  • This is published by Jeffers: Published by: Jeffers Handbell Supply, Inc. Copyright: 1999 , Stock # MJHS9200. This is the arrangement we used in Gateway Ringers, too.

  • I linked this and other videos on the church's web-site so the congregation can get ready for your appearance :-)

  • This organ can't be 9 ranks...are you sure there are no Digital additions? In any event it is a very good sounding organ!

  • It's 9 ranks you are listening to, yes! The tenth rank is the string celeste! No digital stops, just a Peterson 32' Basson.

  • Thank you for yet another great performance!

  • Thank you so much for posting this, was wanting to request that you record this, and lo and behold you did!

  • That is great Paul!!

  • Absolutely awesome! I can't wait until March!! That's when you're coming . . . Brian got it wrong. LOL

  • :-) :-) :-)

  • Wonderful! Can't wait until February!
