a little known fact alabama broke up for about a year over this song..teddy did not want to do this song with lionel because he said it was pop & not country..and that is when he & randy stopped talking for a while...seen them perform it with lionel richie one time when it first came out...think it was the AMA'S or the grammy's..love to see that performance again....it's an awsome tune

This is one of Lionel's best songs ever and is a far better "country" song than anything on the radio today. The great harmony vocals by Alabama bring this song to a new level. Nobody on the charts today has the talent to write songs of this calibre anymore. Lionel was a master at writing awesome love songs with great melodies.
