i love this style of class!!! i just started teaching a hooping class, and i think it would be great to add in some routines like this!!! how do you come up with the choreography? is there a place online to learn routines like this? thanks!!! :)
To switch take hand out to the side and absorb the momentum of the hoop and then push it back in the other direction. I always spwnd quite a bit of time practicing hooping in the other direction and getting comfortable before putting this in. I takes some people quite a while to perfect this. Good luck!!
WOW ! Thats really good , i have just started hoolaing and i used to be an amazing hooler when i was younger but i dont remember how to. I am sort of getting the hang of it but still struggling.
Where abouts do you teach now? Also i have heard that there is a setain weight that you have to use for arobics hula classes and are there certain places to buy them from?
Yes I always teach a new class all the basic moves and et them get a bit more confident with the hoop before putting a routine like this together. Take it slow, you will find a lot of people will struggle at first and need time to find their rhythm. Have fun.
Hi, thanks for your comment, glad you like it. I used to teach it at Playfootball in Blackpool Lancashire, I am having a bit of a break from hula at the moment but will start classes up again in the summer.
im about to teach my first class tomorrow...and not that i dont have a game plan.. :/ haha but i couldnt decide if i was gonna do little dances (macarena/cha cha slide) but it looks like ppl have fun with that. maybe then work up to something more like this when ppl get basics? yeah. thanks. :)
Great idea! I usually don't try to teach choreography, to try to get everyone doing the same thing at the exact same time, but I really like what you did here!
Hve u only been there 2 times? That´s pretty cool if u already can do all that stuff...
